Nice hotel with all amenities

Disappointing. We paid a little more than we usually pay for hotels because we wanted a two-night stay in a scenic area. The room choice specified GARDEN VIEW, but in fact was PARKING LOT VIEW. We asked reception about a garden view and were told “this is the room you booked.” Other than the fact we usually had our curtains closed so that we had some privacy, the room was fine.

Room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was a lovely setting and good food. The pool and spa facilities were nice.

Lights in room 2 needs a dimmer switch, much too bright and or a little light in kitchen area. Garden /parking area needed sweeping whilst awaiting planting

Bedroom was dated, most uncomfortable bed I have ever tried to sleep on. Bathroom was more updated and shower was good. Unfortunate there were Ants over the bedside table, reported to Reception so hopefully dealt with.

Ich habe kürzlich wiederum eine Nacht im Chricklade House Hotel in Cricklade verbracht und war wie immer begeistert. Das Hotel ist charmant und liegt traumhaft inmitten der Cotswolds und bietet viel Ruhe und eine entspannte Atmosphäre.

I stayed in the annexe. The room was okay but I didnt expect to see patchy, peeling paint on the one wall and didnt have a comfortable chair - just the one dining chair - which is odd since the room was for 2 people, nor did it have a side or coffee table. Room also was cold and had a slight feeling of damp. To be fair it had warmed up after dinner. Food was ok, except my bacon was burnt and the sausage was over cooked and dry. Not what Ive come to expect from a 4 star hotel.

Older hotel style with character but one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Staff can’t do enough for you and spa facilities are nice and quiet

Beautiful hotel. Staff friendly. Lovely pool and spa facilities. Massage was lush. Room spacious in house. Quiet and lovely countryside views. Close to Cricklade. Breakfast was fabulous. GF and DF catered for. Will definitely stay again.

Room and welcome was fine. Unfortunately had poor customer service at Breakfast and cooked breakfast seemed to be luke warm as felt had been sitting in their copper canopy serving dishes for a while.

We stayed the night ahead of spa treatments we had booked. Rather surprised to be asked for a deposit against damage to the room! Otherwise staff friendly and replied promptly to a request to ensure a twin room which was spacious and clean.
