Picked up at the airport with our hire car and shown the way around to the accommodation, clean and stocked with everything we needed. Short drive to shops, town or any tourist site. Great service and value stay.

Was ipgraded to a chalet. Had been renovated. Very well equipped kitchen. Bathroom on the ground floor level very small. Needed a screen door on the front entry to the chalet.

A very quiet spot out of town. Older accommodation, (under going renovations in parts), has your basics requirements, does the job quite well. Nice pool. Troy was very nice, and happy to help with any enquiries.

When I first booked Mokutu, I was drawn to those charming A-Frame Chalets, something a bit different from the usual apartments and hotels I’m used to. On Wotif, I noticed a note saying “a car comes with the property.” But none available for my dates. Did that mean a complimentary runabout, or a car at an extra cost? The mystery remained unsolved, so I booked a hire car elsewhere just to be safe. Fast forward to my arrival: stepping off the plane, I was greeted by Sheree, the warm and wonderfully relaxed owner, along with a gentleman holding car hire paperwork. I hadn’t expected anyone to actually meet me at the airport (despite the small print saying they would), so it was a delightful surprise. Within minutes, I’d somehow signed forms, jumped into a car that definitely wasn’t the shiny Toyota Corolla I’d hired, and found myself trailing behind Sheree while the car beneath me clunked and groaned a little too loudly. She cheerfully pointed out local highlights along the way, including Norfolk Island’s one and only “mall.” Once at Mokutu, the mystery deepened, apparently this noisy little car was already included in my accommodation package. So yes, I could have saved myself about $400 if the Wotif info had been clear. Lesson learned! The chalet itself was as charming as expected. From the outside, the A-Frame looked fresh and well-kept, set against lush lawns. Inside, things were a little more retro, with dated furnishings and a shower recess that was designed for small

We really enjoyed our week at Mokutu. Nothing was too hard for Troy and Shari. They were both so friendly and helpful. Thanks for having us!

Little old and tired, needs some TLC

Booked an AFrame appartment . Was given a 2 bedroom unit . Property needs an update and photos of property are old as there is no view due to the trees that have grown.

A little way out of town but only a few minutes in a hire car. We were met at the airport with the car and shown the way to the units. Having the car organised by the motel made everything simple but the car was rather old and a bit battered. OK for the very short drives on the island. Large unit which would have been ideal for a family with three single beds upstairs and a nice kitchen and pool. Our bed was a bit hard. Very friendly chickens wander into the rooms looking for food and the cockerel is noisy at 4:00am!

Comparable if not better than other budget accommodation on we saw on the Island. Very well fitted out with plenty of kitchen items, towels etc. Ideal for self catering holiday. Neat but older well maintained pool which also had a really nice bbq kitchen A little bit out of the Burnt Pine area but when driving around the Island a lot more were moe isolated. Troy and his mother who own the place are really nice people to deal with. Only downside to Norfolk is the absolute expensive cost of groceries (due to everything being sea or air freighted in) and lack of fruit and vegies.

I loved every second of my stay. Heartbroken to leave. I will return to the same accommodation. Thanks Sherrie, for the birthday gift.

Well appointed amenities, great hosts. Not far from town. Very quiet, except in the early mornings when the wild roosters crow. :)
