地下の部屋は排水音がうるさいとの口コミを見たので、狭いけれど1階の部屋を予約しました。 けれども案内された部屋は地下の部屋でした。排水音は小さい音のものもあれば、朝方の大きな音もありました。 オーナーに変更を申し出ようかとも思ったのですが、地下の部屋は隣がバスルームで便利だし、1階の部屋はとても狭そうでしたし、1階には家族連れが連泊しているようで騒がしそう、ということで、2日目からは耳栓で対応しました。 家は綺麗ですし、オーナーのSamさんがアジア系の方だったので安心感もありました。実際、わたしのお願いにもよいご対応をして下さいました。 音のことがあっても、それを補うくらい快適な施設でした。 ただ、猫のアレルギーをお持ちの方は注意が必要かもです。とても綺麗な猫ちゃんが住んでいます。ずっとはいませんでしたが、時折り地下にも来ていました。 宿まで送ってくれた猫好きな友人が声をあげて喜んでいたくらいなので、猫好きな方はむしろうれしいかもしれません。 建物の美しさ、泊まりやすさ、値段などでご興味を持たれた方で、猫が苦手な方はオーナーに一度ご相談されるのもいいかと思います。

清潔で部屋も広く快適でした　ホテルではなく一軒家でバストイレが共用です　地下の部屋だからか排水の音がきになりましたが全体的には静かです　 質問はオーナーへメッセージを送るとすぐ返信がきて安心でした　チェックイン前に荷物を預かってもらえました

It took me a while to log in to my room, but the owner came right over to help me. The room had a variety of amenities and a kitchen that was too good for one person to use. The only thing that bothered me a little was that there were not enough beds for the size of the room, so I think it would be better to have a cot or something to take advantage of that much space.

The property wasn’t what I expected. I had not received any instructions for checking in prior to my arrival at 7:30pm. I called the number for Sam that was posted by the door and left a message. Sam called right back giving me the passcode. When I went inside I was surprised to find myself in what appeared to be someone’s home with several pairs of shoes strewn by the doorway. I did not know what to do. Sam called back asking me to wait in the living room saying he’d be there in 10-min. It was after that that I received a text with instructions on how to enter the property and where my room was (in the basement). Although the description on the website states that there is AC, it is not accessible for the individual rooms but one unit for the house. I prefer to sleep in a very cool room so Sam opened the narrow, horizontal window near the top of the 10 foot ceiling. Sam was welcoming and kind and the room was clean but it was too warm for sleeping. I found it noisy since being a basement room, I could hear a rush of water through the pipes anytime someone used the water or toilet. I could also hear who ever used the shared bathroom since my room has an adjoining wall. I really just needed a room for the night close to the airport so it served the purpose. I was shocked that I had paid $388 for a one night stay in a place that has a shared bathroom and kitchen. Next time I’ll be more careful reading the description.

This property is a room in a home. There is no en suite bath. The shower is in the basement of the home. The property also has a cat which was not disclosed and I am highly allergic and without the notice had no medications with me. Although I’ve gone to the emergency room before for cat allergies, my reaction to this cat was less severe. But I was congested and plagued with a headache for many days of my vacation. The property still had Christmas tree up (in June) and had a lot of clutter from the people living there. I felt like I was crashing with a stranger in college. This is not a hotel or a Bed and Breakfast. It is strange. Expedia was responsive. But the description is misleading.

We found the Cozy Retreat very comfortable. Our room and private bath were very nice. We had cofffee in the morning at the shared kitchen but saw no other guests. It was a good fit for us.

This is a room in a family home. The family was wonderfully helpful, but this was not what we were expecting and so didn’t stay the entire time. However, the host was wonderful about refunding our 2nd night when he didn’t have to do so. Very clean and in a safe neighborhood.

I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and inviting atmosphere. The host was incredibly generous, kind, and accommodating. Even though I only stayed for one night, I noticed that the host cleaned the place several times, so everything was spotless and well-maintained. I had a very comfortable stay and truly appreciated the hospitality! Thank you :)

Know that if you are not on first floor you have to navigate steps with your suitcase. Second floor room was a bit warm for us. Beautiful property, clean and great manager.
