イギリスの古き良きロッジ。湖水地方を訪れた記念にもなる。部屋は素晴らしく作られており、オーナーは親切。非常に良い思い出になった。 湖までは歩く必要はあるものの、歩くのも楽しい地域。なお、バス停が近くにあるので駅からはバスを乗るのが便利。とはいえ、駅までも歩ける程度の距離。

A really pleasant place to stay, tucked away but still close to town. The room was spacious and really nicely decorated. In room breakfast was great as well. All in all would recommend.

The Puddle Duck was one of THE BEST places we have ever stayed in! When we arrived, all we could smell were the roses, coming from the incredibly beautiful garden. The property is absolute perfection! We arrived a few hours earlier than planned, but the owner took us right up to our room. It was spotless, spacious and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail here is unlike most other places. Nothing has been missed and everything has been tailored to provide you with a perfect stay. The property itself is on a side street which is quiet and I slept soundly all night. The bed was comfortable and we loved the “made to order” continental breakfast hampers! You order the night before and it arrives at the time you select, right outside your door. The breakfast was a high quality, delicious offering. We loved the owner’s homemade jam too :) We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again! 5/5 - perfection! We were sad to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We visited the Lakes District for a 4 day vacation and came across this delightful boutique bed and breakfast lodge. We were absolutely delighted with our stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room, and the rest of the lodge, were tastefully decorated and cosy. The breakfast was excellent, being continental in style, but very large. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the main part of Bowness-on-Windermere, with multiple cafes and easy walking access to the pier. Parking is available, which is important since parking is at a premium around Bowness. Importantly, the Dales Walking track is also easily accessible and can take you to a number of outstanding lookouts over Lake Windermere and surrounds. Highly recommend this lodge for a comfortable and cosy stay.

Great place to stay. Very clean and well maintained. Lots of nice little touches. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and plenty of food. I would definitely look at booking Puddle Duck Lodge when I visit the Lake District again.

We stayed here over the Aug 2025 bank holiday weekend and would definitely recommend this place to stay. The location is ideal - situated on a quiet street and very short walking distance to explore Bowness. The garden at the front of the property is beautiful. We stayed in The Boat House suite which was very spacious and pleasantly decorated. David & Jenny were extremely hospitable and delivered us a generous breakfast hamper each morning (home made preserves a lovely touch) and were very helpful with local recommendations for Sunday roast. Small unique B&B property in the English Lake District near Lake Windermere. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants in the village. Beautiful garden in front yard. Relatively small room, but very comfortable, including the four-poster bed!

Puddle Duck Lodge is a wonderful relaxing place. David and Jenny are great hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and we will recommend it to our friends and family. The gardens are beautiful.
