総合評価とレビュー The Islander Hotel

ホテルライフは全く期待しない１泊の人向け。気に入った点①空港到着から右に50m程行くと国内国際の共通チェックインカウンターがあり300m先に水色のホテルが見える近さ②冷房あり③シャワーの湯量温度問題なし④強い日差しの中を海岸線を左にみながら徒歩20分程行くと広い駐車場のあるスーパーが右ある。さらに10分程で首都アバルアの街。土日も運行している時計回りのバスで小一時間で島を一周して5NZドルでホテルに戻れる。気になった点➊他のコメントにもあるレストランからの音響。低音が部屋全体に響く。日没頃から始まり土曜のせいか22時頃に静かになった。耳栓が置いてあった。➋海岸線際だが段差があり普通には降りられないし降りる雰囲気の海岸でもない。➌2個のコーヒーガップが皿の上に置いてあったが両方ともベージュの線がついており水質の悪さを感じる。電気ポットが置いてあったが使用せず。➍明け方前に天井付近の壁に４センチ大のゴキブリが這ったり飛んだりしていた。トイレに行っている間にどこかへ行った。レストランが隣でドアの下がわずかに隙間があるせいだろう。

バーラウンジの音が大き過ぎて、窓や壁が振動するくらいの音量でした。earplug耳栓が無料で置いてありましたが、役にたちません。３時半から深夜の1145迄騒いでました。とてもリラックス出きるホテルではありません。高いし、良いところは空港に近いだけです。ラロトンガ島の印象が悪くなります。バーで騒ぐお客ならホテル利用しても問題ないです。避難して、じ、エッジウオーターホテルにて快適な生の演奏と食事て時間過ごしホテルに戻ったけど、騒いでいました。

空港から歩いて２、３分のところにあるホテル。部屋はリゾート感はなく、ビジネスホテルのよう。部屋は掃除されており、不潔に感じることはない。 目の前がバーになっており、２３：３０まではクラブミュージックが爆音でかかっている。 空港から近いこと以外は、特にメリットのないホテル。

I love everything about this hotel. It wasn’t a bad decision that the first stay in this trip in this hotel, especially I liked the breakfast! Eating breakfast while watching the ocean in a nice atmosphere was awesome.

部屋は広く清潔で乗り換えのトランジットホテルで利用したが、とても良かった。

深夜まで窓の外が騒がしいです。 なかなか寝付けません。 窓の外がバーになっております。 写真にあるプールっぽい写真はプールでなく、レストランの中心にある池です。 エアポートホテルとしては徒歩1分で空港なのでアクセス抜群です。

地元の子どもたちがプールで遊び、親はその周りのイスで食事や飲み物を飲み、ゆっくりくつろいでいました。 また、友人同士の集まりで４人がけのテーブルを３～４個を一つにして、おしゃべりをしたり、親類同士が集まり 誕生会祝いをしてました。次々にお客が入ってきて、大変混雑していましたが、地元の人に愛されていると思いました。宿泊中の夜、ピザや魚、肉料理６種類を食べましたが、いずれも大変美味しかったです。ホテルの受付もさまざまな島内のアクティブティを手配していただき、大変親切でした。部屋は１室で３人ほど泊まれ、冷蔵庫電気ポット、インスタントコーヒー、紅茶、砂糖がちゃんと用意されていましたし、バスルームは清潔で、熱いシャワーが出て、快適に過ごせました。

フライトが夜間到着、深夜出発だったので、フロントが24時間対応で空港から近いことを最優先して選びました。 空港のターミナルを出て右へ曲がり、大きな道路に出たところの正面にある茶色の建物がホテルです。徒歩2分かからないと思います。 朝食は、コンチネンタルと表記されてましたが簡単なブッフェ(トースト、フルーツ、シリアルのみ)でした。 外のバーが12時頃まで営業しているので、部屋まで賑やかな雰囲気が伝わってきます。 スタッフの方は皆さん親切でフレンドリー！イロイロと親身に対応してもらつて、一人旅でも安心して過ごすことができました。

チェックイン時にチェックアウトは11時と言われたので翌日10時30分頃にチェックアウトしたら、「チェックアウトは10時だ」と追加料金を請求された。

＜アクセス＞ 深夜到着、深夜早朝出発の場合に、おすすめです。徒歩で3～4分。 It is 3-4 minutes' walk from rarotonga airport. 空港から島のメイン通りに向かうと巨大なタンクが2つ目に入ります。 向かって右側100Mほどのところにホテルがあります。深夜でも迷うこともなく、危ないこともなく良いです。 Access is easy. Two big tanks are marks. If you goes to the main road from an airport, you can see them. A hotel is located from tanks on the right at the place of 100 m. ＜チェックイン＞ 夜中2時過ぎでもチェックインすることができました。 I was able to check in at midnight / 2:00.

We didn’t have a remote for the TV. Had no signal to the TV. The Aircon remote was not functioning, couldn’t adjust the temperature, so we had to turn on the ceiling fan. Bath towels were full of Fluffs.

Lovely people, lovely food, very close to the airport. Took care of my parents well.

We stayed only one night before our accommodations were ready. Arriving at almost midnight, we found them ready for us, friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and most of all cool. Breakfast the next morning was stellar. We slept well, had a wonderful breakfast and were ready to start the day!

If you’re just looking for a clean, decent, and convenient place to stay for 1-2 nights, I highly recommend this place. We landed around 11:30 pm, this hotel is very close to the airport (walkable). We stayed here at the front and back ends of our trip as we spent the majority of the trip in Aitutaki. We would stay here again. The restaurant had great food and drinks. I even got a wonderful massage for a great price here. They also have free WiFi. WiFi is hard to find on the island unless you purchase a Vodafone plan or pay for resort’s data plans.

If you want quiet time on a Saturday night, don’t stay here. The drumming lasted till almost 10pm. The room was spacious and we enjoyed the A/C. The food was good and we enjoyed the seafood chowder and the seafood linguine. We had it both Saturday and Sunday evening. WiFi in room 8 was almost nonexistent. Mgmt needs to add another access point or an extender to get wifi to the end of the guest hallway. WiFi signals do not penetrate cement block structures well which explains the poor signal strength.

The Islander is very conveniently located 1 block to the airport. Has an ocean side restaurant and bar, the bar scene is loud music until 10pm - hotel rooms face the bar. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately our dinner experience was poor, order was lost and our hotel room door lock broke and we got locked in our room. But hey stuff happens. All good
