This hotel was outstanding. Great food (especially the breakfast), the staff was amazing. Special shout out to: Edgar, Max, Mateo, Luigi and Bryan. Everyone who worked at this hotel was courteous, helpful and very gracious. The amenities were plenty, super fun place to stay. It was clean, it was safe, and it was in a great location to be able to walk around and get to know Barcelona. We were able to shop, eat great foods, attend the local markets, etc. The bicycles were a plus, a quick ride and you could get to the nearby beaches. The rooftop bar and pool was a fabulous place to rest, eat and have a nice cocktail. We even took advantage of the weight room, which was perfect. We attend the rooftop yoga, that was a great way to start off our vacation, unwind and get ready for our 9 day stay at this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. There were 6 of us staying here, and it met all the needs we had to have a very pleasant vacation. The staff 100% gave it there all at all times. The rooms were very nice, small but kept very clean. Had plenty of towels, and great water pressure in the showers. The turn down service was nice, and the little touches (like putting chocolates on your pillows) was very thoughtful. If you want to be in the heart of Barcelona, be able to walk and enjoy the local vibe, this is the best place to stay. Loved all 9 days, and never got tired of this hotel. Great place! Do not stay at this property. There is no disclosure that most taxis cannot get to the hotel due to the massive construction project nearby. We were dropped off half a mile a way and had to drag our bags down old streets and try to figure out where the property was. THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR PROPERTY AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY. This was apparent as soon as we checked in. When we got to the room, it was dirty, there were stains on the furniture and blankets, the bedding and pillows were 3 star level, there are zero closets - only 2 IKEA style small racks for hanging clothes. The shower was stained and dirty. There was a bad odor in both the hallways of the hotel as well as the room. There were also many of the male hotel workers that were lingering around the hallways and “messing around”. Did not feel safe from a safety or hygiene standpoint. We called Expedia immediately to inform them this hotel was not as advertised on their website. We got disconnected 3 times - with never a call back. We went to the front desk to tell them we did not feel safe at the property. They told us the property was cleaned to IHS standards and refused to do anything to help us. Now we are being told that neither Expedia nor the hotel will give us our $4700+ dollars back. $4700 for 4 nights at a hotel that is listed as 5 star should be an amazing experience - and this hotel and experience has been a nightmare. DO NOT STAY HERE - and shame on Expedia for not protecting their customers.

This is a fabulous 5-star property, catering to English speaking visitors in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. Breakfast was super with buffet and menu options. Gabriela, our server smiled her beautiful smile and showed positivity as she greeted us each day. Cava Champagne included In the breakfast buffet. Rooftop pool with fabulous views of the city and cathedral. Social hour every day. The service was exceptional. Nico in guest relations took care of our every need.

Property was located in the old part of town and all attractions within walking distance. Many exceptional restaurants conveniently located close by the hotel.

Some may question if this brand is legitimately a 5-star facility. Globally the brand isn't yet this facility overtly strives for it and comes very very close -- solid 4 to 4.5. The staff are definitely 4.5+ -- except the rooftop bar (where service is lacking and needs great improvement). The Concierge is outstanding. The free happy hour is almost a club level vibe where after 2-3 days it's at if you're meeting old friends again. Yet it's only a solid hour... so the hotel is never overrun by it's own pop up club/not-club. It's also perfectly located. Not on the beach and an easy walk and even a decent run to it. Critically is very very nicely priced. I strongly recommend this place.

Staff was great and the location is perfect. Max was the "easy button" that made our stay memorable.

Staff are superb, we felt right at home every time we walked through the doors. The rooms are kept at a high standard but be prepared for what you pay for. Rooms are definitely smaller than what you’re used to, but you can always upgrade. Also, expect an extra tourism fee per night.

Amazing stay twice in one week! Great location. Staff is kind and attentive. Roof top bar is breathtaking. Will definitely stay here next time we are in Barcelona!!
