Impeccably clean, lots of space, extremely good value and friendly staff

Easy to find, good information available at reception. Great to have 2 double beds in separate rooms. Enjoyed the spa bath

I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Kaikoura. The hotel is close to the bars/restaurants (around a 5 minute walk). We were upgraded to the Spa bathroom and were impressed with the size of our room and the views that accompanied it. It had all of the amenities we required and we had a comfortable nights sleep. Each room has a designated car parking space, and we were directed to our space by a friendly member of staff.

Wonderful friendly service

Definitely recommend staying at Mondello. We chose the 2 bedroom upstairs no. 12 unit, the best view to the snow capped mountains. The unit was very comfortable, spacious with a balcony to sit and take in the lovely views.It’s only a 5 minute walk away from the shops and restaurants.

Great stay. Great comfy room. Lovely mtn view with afternoon sun. Excellent amenities. Handy location to main st so can easily walk from restaurants and shops.

The guys running this motel are such great people they can do nothing but succeed. On learning that we were there celebrating our 61st wedding anniversary, they 3D printed a beautiful rose and stand and presented it to us on checkout . They won us with that.

Excellent location, facilities and staff, upstairs plumbing noisy

Absolutely pristine and comfortable, well fitted out and lovely touches like dolphin shower curtain hooks, press-coffee pot, small patio with view of mountains. Occasional lamps in living room and bedrooms would have been nice as overhead light not romantic at all!

Close to everything. Easy access straight off the highways but not too noisy. Accommodation was really clean, comfortable and had everything you need for a night including cooking facilities

This was a great property — very clean, all the bells and whistles for a kitchen, sitting space, large veranda, secluded location in back of property. We were lucky to fine this gem #12

Out suite was on top floor at the back and had superb views across the fields to the sunset and mountains. It was spacious and clean and well furnished. Everything seemed brand new. Nicer than most folks home apartments!

Lovely motel in Kaikoura. Really easy walk into town with lots of shopping and eating options. Would stay here again.
