Rosa was a great hostess! The apartment was charming and well situated for our needs. My only complaint would be that the pull-out couch would’ve been better suited for 2 young children rather than 2 adults. Otherwise, it was great.

Had a major problem with the steep staircase if we had little ones it would have been outright dangerous. The parking was on the main road and charged if on weekdays

Excellent location and amazing views at the Red House, down by the River! The property owner was amazing and helped make checking in very simple and educated us about our surroundings. I will definitely recommend The Red House by the River to our friends and family.

Wonderful host! Rosa took the time to go through recommendations in the area. She clearly takes pride in her work and the accommodations. Amenities are great! Including dishwasher, washing machine and additional snack items for purchase. The view was amazing and a quick easy walk to the bridge. Was kept up a couple nights by very loud neighbours (patio/pub next door that attracts groups into the late hours), but this is to be expected on “main street” or very busy locations. Glad we stayed here nonetheless!

This property is situated on the Porto side, but in walking distance to the Gaia side. It is in walking distance to many attractions, and a quick Uber drive. Hostess was amazing. Very quick to respond to inquiries. Unit is spectacular, updated, and clean as a whistle. Beautiful view of Douro River. Windows are sound proof. Rosa is an incredible host and was filled with info for site seeing. She made us feel very comfortable, and we felt like she was an old friend. Would definitely come back and recommend! 5 Star!

Rosa was absolutely wonderful describing our room, giving dining and entertainment options. We took advantage of four or five of her suggestions and the food and wine tasting was awesome. The views from the room were breathtaking.

Excelente localização com uma vista espetacular do Rio Douro e da Ponte. Perto de tudo. Ao lado do funicular e do Cais da Ribeira. A Sra. Rosa é muito atenciosa.

The property was very comfortable, well presented, spacious, with all basic amenities provided. It had a lovely private back patio under the rockface, and is located on the riverbank with beautiful views of the famous steel bridge and the port manufacturers opposite. The main old town area is just a short walk away. The owner was helpful on arrival providing plenty of information. Would highly recommend!
