The food and drinks is extremely expensive

The grand coastal hotel was the PERFECT STAY ! The staff customer service was TOP notch ! Respectful , always greet with a pleasant smile and conversation. The food was delicious. The kitchen and staff are 5 stars ! The reception team 5 stars , barmen 5 stars. Taxi service 5 stars , security 5 stars , maid and house keeping service 5 stars . All staff that my family and I engage with were terrific! Kevin ,Operah, Daniel, Ryan ,Mark , Brian , Rommel Charlene ,Leshawn to name a few ! Thank you ! We will Definitely return to the grand coastal hotel!

Overall wonderful experience. Highly recommended

I stayed here recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. On the plus side, the hotel was very clean housekeeping clearly does a thorough job, and the rooms and common areas were well-kept throughout my stay. Unfortunately, a few issues held this back from being a great stay. The shower had no hot water for the duration of my visit. I reported it to the maintenance team, and while they did come to check it out, the problem was never actually resolved , I ended up taking cold showers the whole time. The location also comes with some noise challenges. There’s a fair amount of road noise that carries into the rooms, so light sleepers should be aware. On top of that, some rooms are situated close to the public spaces, which meant I could hear guests in those areas late into the night. Between the traffic outside and the noise from inside, getting a good night’s sleep was difficult.

This was my third stay at GCH. I see some improvements have been done with the bar and lounge area which is really nice. I always enjoy my stay but I think the Chef is different. My stew fish just wasn't what I remembered it to be. Not bad but I liked it when it was more a traditional type guyanese stew.

I love this place

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Coastal. Everything was convenient. Location was great. All of the staff are very helpful and attentive as well. We enjoyed their food options, especially because they provided local guyanese cuisines which we loved very much. The drinks at the bar were fresh and delicious. Overall, great place to stay when you're in Guyana.

Everything was perfect I enjoyed my stay

My stay overall was decent. Just a few issues. The hot water is never hot, always luke warm or cool. Bar prices are very high! Average cost of a beer is $300(gyd) most places however it’s almost $1200 here. Not trying to sound cheap but that’s insane. Hence I rarely saw people at the bar. Food was good and somewhat affordable for the atmosphere. Oh and the air conditioning in my room was somehow never cold during the night( like 1 am to 5 am) I was sweating, seems as if it just stopped cooling at the same time every night. Staff was friendly.

This property is located close to a busy highway and so you can hear the noise of the traffic. The food was tasty, but they served the same menu for an entire week. The bar staff did a great job with the drinks and it’s nice place to hang out. The pool is there for decoration only, no one can use it and it’s not in an area where you would want to anyway. The rooms can do with a thorough cleaning and there is a big sign that says water goes off between 2 PM and 3 PM. The staff are friendly. You can hire the taxis directly from the hotel, which is a plus.

Location

I did not like there was no one to assist with luggage to rooms. Room needs to be upgraded. There were times no hot water. Breakfast was great. Dinner was boring, something every night.

Clean and comfortable

Few of waiters are wonderful. Front desk clerks needs to improve and be more active .they never asked how was your stay all was asked are you checking out.

Room was clean, good breakfast. One of the staff Romel was very helpful.

Amazing place to stay in Guyana. Staff was elite, especially the taxi driver

Erg slecht ontbijt. Ontbijt op bestelling en lang wachten. Geen variatie. Niet vriendelijk personeel. Geen lift. Kamers ruiken muf. Te duur en slechte service.
