This is a property that uses the kind of new system that asks for identification information before check-in. Owned by Marriott, so felt better about giving all my information. The location is clean and easily accessible by public transportation. Room was spacious, and the view was pretty good. Ran into cleaning staff exiting as we checked in, so we knew people were on-site even if no front desk. Clean room, no issues.

Stay and property was great.

email for check in was not sent properly. took over an hour to check in to the hotel due to that. once checked in, the provided code to the hotel room did not work, had to spend another 45 mins on hold with sonder as they changed the code.

The Sonder was amazing!! We couldn't have been happier. The bed was to firm for our taste, but that is a personal thing. the apartment was very nice, and the entire building was very clean.

Love the place

the place was fine - no complaints there. A bit close to the El train, which might bother some people. Getting in was a real trial: was sent a unit door code 24 hours in advance, then a new one (to my email) a few hours before arrival, of which I was unaware. NO code for the building door and I wasn't alone. Several people milling about outside because no one could get in. Had to make repeated call to 'help' line to get someone to give me the main door code. If staying here, call the day before and get a building code!

Be aware that choosing Sonder is as if you were staying at your own home. Dont expect to have your bags kept somewhere safley with a concierge. Loved the feeling of being on my own. There was an issue when we came in one day from strolling the city. Our room smelled like cigarette. Must of came through the vents. They seem to have taken care of it. The sonder in chicago was great. The neighborhood is quaint and close to transportation.

liked how clean and airy it was- provided the basic necessities. the nearby train is a bit loud but its not terrible. the location is great, train station nearby, walkable distance from soldier field, and some decent food spots. i had a great stay, thank you!

This is not a hotel for the faint of heart. Checking in was a nightmare and took over half an hour. Then they couldn't give you a location to park that was within 10 blocks of the hotel. We found one 2 blocks away from the hotel after much searching. You would think they would have this information on file with the reservation.So you would know where to park. Instead, you wait on the phone for twenty minutes, talking to somebody about how do I find parking anywhere and they have no idea other than ten blocks away. This has a potential to be a great location.But there's a lot of work that needs to be done. Certainly not up to the marriott standards

It was a great clean and modern property with a location by all of the main sites of Chicago. I didn't think to ask for a crib before arrival and there was no one to speak to on site.

Why wasn't i awarded marriot points for my stay?

Very nice property and generally clean but furnace filter was filthy and should be changed.

We love staying at this location. The unit is modern, clean, well-furnished, and fully-appointed. Just a short walk to the Roosevelt L station makes it a short ride to the loop and museums, restaurants, shopping, etc.

The property was in a great area, felt very safe and was easy to walk to the loop/ You will hear the CTA trains, it would be hard not to. The apartment was great and very comfortable. We expect great things from Sonder, and sonder always deliver.

Great space, comforable fully furnished apt. An amazingly homey feel while traveling for business. About the only issue was that the coffee machine didn't work. But overall, a wonderful stay in the windy city!

Overall the property is just ok. I had higher expectations with it being a Marriot property but it was not as pristine as many Marriot properties I have stayed in. At least they could spiff me the points but if you book through Expedia that is not an option I was not aware of.
