Wi-Fiはロビーだけ。部屋でも使いたいなら別途有料というのがセコいと感じた。4泊5日のうち中3日プールがメンテナンスで使えなかったのが残念。だが他は素晴らしかった。シービューを指定した筈なのに最初崖ビューしかもシャワーが使えなかったが言ったらちゃんと変えてくれた。中央にゴンドラがあり左右にコテージが延びる大変面白い造り。ロビーの彫像群も素晴らしい。バスターミナルでもある中央市場からは少しあるが十二分に徒歩圏内で別段困らない。ちゃんと事前確認を怠らなかったので以前のような宿無しの危機もなくちゃんと泊まれてよかった。

ロビーのみWi-Fi無料、自室では有料というのがセコいと感じるがそれ以外は良い。 かなり面白く特殊な造り。中央にゴンドラが走り左右に平屋建てのコテージが広がる。 シービューダブルを最初指定して予約したのに最初通された部屋は斜面を眺めるだけの4Fの部屋でしかもシャワーが使えなかったのできちんと伝えたら2Fの辛うじて海が見える部屋に変えて貰えた。 レセプショニストも知らない謎の理由でプールが閉鎖されているのが残念。 各地へ延びるバスターミナルとなる中央市場から徒歩15分程離れている。 今回も欠かさずに電話して存在と契約の有無を確認した上で宿泊出来ている。

I enjoyed staying at the Solomon King for one week. The staff was kind. I worried that the monorail was old and would stop moving at some point.

チェックイン時に予約されていないと言われ、領収書を見せても日本語のものしかなく確認できず、予約の日を聞かれ伝えた所、要約判明。 少しも悪い姿勢は全く見せず、チェックアウト時に二重請求されかけた。 スタッフも全員ではないが、誠意が感じない人が多かった。 運が悪かったのかも知れないが。

部屋の中を裸足で歩けるくらいきれいでした。

施設が老朽化している。特に水回りが不安定で、お湯が出ないことあり。

Love the simple quirkiness of the hotel. I hope it stays the way it is and maintains its character. Small suggestions to bring it up to aexpectations: employ a plumber to fix drips; change batteries in all appliances regularly

The rooms are clean and enjoyed hot water for a shower. Walking distance from the wharf and cafes. The hotel needs maintenance- our toilet seat was broken. The cable car also needs the control buttons inside the car serviced.

Although the staff were very nice and helpful, the hotel looks nothing like many of the photos posted online and the rooms, infrastructure, and furnishings are all old and worn out when they're available. A bunch of friends and I stayed at King Solomon, so we were able to compare rooms. Most of the rooms at King Solomon have very limited furnishings that included only a bed and a night stand. All of the rooms had some combination of missing furniture and typical room amenities and/or things that were not working. I switched rooms because the air conditioner didn't work and one of my friends changed rooms because none of the lights would turn on in her room. The TVs and cable in most of the rooms didn't work. The bathrooms that were not recently updated which is most, were dirty and worn. Dripping showers were an issue for many that kept them up. Things missing in rooms included toilet paper holders. soap dishes in the showers, mirrors of any kind, closets or drawers to put clothes, towels, and some times room keys (which we had to pick up after they had cut some new ones at the hardware store). The website also doesn't tell you that most of the hotel and rooms are built on a hillside which are only accessible by confusing stairs and a funicular when it was working. To add to it all, a good portion of the hotel was being renovated during our stay including around the pool area which prevented us from using the pool. For $110/night before taxes, not worth it.

Although the staff were very nice and tried their best, the hotel is much older than the photos show and the rooms all have issues from appliances that don't work, power issues in the rooms, dripping shower faucets, old furniture and appliances, air conditioners that don't work, and just a lack of basic furniture and other amenities in the rooms. A bunch of friends and I all stayed at this hotel, so we were able to compare rooms. Many did not having working tvs or cable, some rooms had no furniture other than a bed and night table, and several rooms lacked basic things in the bathroom like a toilet paper holder, a soap dish in the shower, and a mirror in the room anywhere. Also, the rooms are on a hillside any many are only accessible by either a long climb on a confusing stairway or a funicular that malfunctioned often.

The build is not too bad, the lift is very interesting and the pool was nice. Would I ever be back here? No! If you want to be robbed this is the place, money and clothes disappear from my room. I am soo angry with myself for trust this place!

Best Place to be in Honiara!everything you need just in a walking Distance!even though the Place is just a basic!the lovely staffs & location makes it perfect! Mostly Recommended it to anyone whom wish to visit or stay over for travel purposes! A+++++++++++++++from me!

Conviently located, spacious rooms and worth the price, the only downside was that hotel guests and party goers use the same entrance especially when a party or entertainment is on - fridays and saturdays.

I liked the swimming pool. Very clean and nice.

Internet didn’t work in rooms, look clicking air conditioner, tram was finicky. It’s cheap and the country is rough over all. So, in a way, a safe place and relative the the country, ok

Room was very basic and needed a proper scrubbing. Hotel needs a lot of refurbishing - when it rains water is leaking in hallways and you can hear it in the room. Cable car had faults as well. No free internet in the room, only in lobby. Food nothing special in the restaurant. Staff is very friendly though.
