This hotel is huge and has very much a resort vibe. The direct access to the bay with sun chairs right by the water was a big plus. Pools were nice but got very crowded and lots of kids.
The biggest downside was really the service. We found that the service level did not at all match the price you pay to stay here, neither does it match the standard of other Hyatt Regency properties we have visited. Example: when entering or exiting the lobby, not a single person greeted us or even lifted their heads to acknowledge us as guests. We did not really feel very welcome by the staff during our stay.
The room was nice and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. However, the cleaning was horrible. Room was dirty when we checked in, which we were not compensated for, and even during the stay we continued to find long hairs from others on the floor. Not a great experience.
Breakfast situation was a nightmare. They only open the 'bad' restaurant from the early morning - which had the ambience of a cafeteria. Then we were told that the nicer restaurant with an open terrace and views would open at 09. Didn't make any sense at all and wasn't a great experience.
