Best hotel in the Otavalo area, with an outstanding view and a very caring service. The fireplace was a particularly nice touch that you don't often find in hotels. While the location and the staff cannot be faulted, the hotel clearly need some renovations in the spa and common areas. Also the rooms could do with a bit more equipment (although the staff did provide everything we asked for). The two local guardian dogs Mia and Tia are incredibly friendly, and the surrounding area is very nice for a little nature walk.

Amazing Hotel with a magnificent view from Lago San Pablo only 1.5 hours away from Quito

Very beautiful mountain-side hotel. The view was amazing and they had horses that you could ride for a very reasonable price on a very scenic route. Would highly recommend if going to lago san pablo.

Muy bonita experiencia. Nos agradó mucho la fogata al atardecer. Lo malo que allí nos picaron unas pulgas (supongo que al hacerlo en campo, eso era imprevisible) que nos causaron mucha molestia. Fuera de eso, todo excelente. La comida con presentación gourmet nos pareció un poco costosa o, visto desde otro punto de vista, algo escasa en relación al precio. Recomendamos que se mejore la temperatura de la piscina la que se publicita como temperada y la verdad estaba apenas poco menos que fría. Excelente servicio e instalaciones muy cómodas y elegantes. La vista de los volcanes y el lago, es maravillosa.

El trato excelente, la ubicación de ensueño, la calidad de alojamiento inmejorable, todo perfecto. Solo el acceso es por un camino adoquinado que según la época tiene piedras sueltas por lo que es mejor acceder en un coche alto.

El Hotel tiene un problema con la bomba de agua, que se escucha el ruido muy fuerte en la habitación, cuando la bomba se enciende y se paga. Se escucha también el ruido de las tuberías de agua, por lo que es descanso en la noche no es bueno.

The hotel is very beautiful and the staff was very helpful. However, we were the only guests at the property. I had purchased a King Suite through Expedia, but when I checked in they told me that I didn't pay enough for the suite and they tried to put me in a regular room. After waiting almost two hours they gave me the suite I paid for. The room and view were spectacular, but frustrating that they didn't honor the room I paid for on Expedia immediately.

My girlfriend and I had a great time at Medina del Lago. This place has a gorgeous view from the rooms, lobby and restaurant. The food and service were fantastic. The staff was really friendly and made sure our stay was great. We enjoyed the use of the jacuzzi and sauna every day we were there (they also have a pool). For anyone having to work remotely, we had no problems with the wifi and were able to have Zoom video calls daily. We are definitely planning to come back!
