Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig und wunderbar direkt am Strand gelegen. Es ist klein aber fein. Det Pool ist genug gross und das Meer mit dem wunderbaren Sandstand gleich um die Ecke.

Positives: Beautiful old colonial house right on the beach. The room was large and the balcony overlooked the pool and beach beyond. Honour bar for drinks was handy and breakfast was good. Beach swim-able and many restaurants close by. Good A/C Negative - low water pressure in shower which was quite small. Lovely freestanding tub was not usable - taps didn’t work properly and base leaked. Bad quite hard. Overall a good stay.

Horrível o pior lugar que já fiquei, uma casa velha c quartos, o nosso quarto era no meio da recepção e da sala da casa, sem privacidade alguma, sem tv, lotado de lagartixas. Chegamos a noite e não tinha comida, tivemos que caminhar por uma praia escura e esperar a maré baixar para atravessar. Um pesadelo, me sentí num filme de terror. Ainda bem q foi por poucas horas e uma breve dormida para ir para o aeroporto.

On the beach but a poorly maintained nice looking old “mansion”. I was fooled by other higher ratings.

This is really a B&B . Plus it is not well maintained. The property itself is elegant looking but sorely neglected. However, we overlooked all of the obvious faults because the location is superb. Also the newer pool is quite nice, but the pool man added too much chlorine which spoiled that experience.

Hotellet ligger rett ved stranda, bare adskilt med en port. En kan ligge på solsengene ved bassenget (under parasoll), og likevel ta badene i sjøen. Hele hotellets uteområde, inkludert frokostområdet har nydelig utsikt mot strand, sjø og solnedgang. Rommene har utsikt mot sjøen, de i 2. etg har selvfølgelig mer, men rommene på 1. etg har direkte utgang til uteområdene. Rene og pent, og store herskapelige rom. Veldig hyggelig personale og en avslappet og behagelig atmosfære. Kort vei til restauranter og spisesteder. Veldig godt utvalg av takeaway-boder like bortenfor. Anbefales på det varmeste!

absolutely wonderful views from the balcony, pool and sea. The staff was friendly and really nice, Javier (I don't know how to spell it) was a lovely guy. The only downside was the pool, it wasn't cleaned the whole time we were here.

This is a delightful property with pleasant and attentive staff. The location is perfect, being directly on the beach in the middle of the beach and close to all restaurants. The room was large and clean with a wonderful veranda and view of the ocean. Breakfast was tasty. I would definitely recommend this property.

Everything was perfect!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Chateau Elysium. If you are looking for a traditional hotel experience which can be very impersonal, this may not be for you, but if you are looking for a guest house, more personal experience...then this is a perfect spot. The property is set back so it feels very private. The building and grounds are very well maintained. I stayed in room 2 and had a glorious view of Beau Vallon Beach and the Indian Ocean. I loved having coffee on the balcony overlooking the property and beach. The room was not fancy (not a complaint at all) but was very clean. (I would go down for breakfast and the room was cleaned before I returned). There is a wonderful woman who prepares breakfast every morning. Sumptuous fresh tropical fruits, yogurt, juice, coffee, eggs & bacon with toast, etc. (All delicious). On some nights you can pre-order dinner which is all home cooked. The property has 24 hour security and I always felt very safe. It took me 2 minutes to get onto the beach from my room! Lots of restaurants, shops, convenience stores, and more all within walking distance. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I am grateful for the entire staff!

Fantastic old arty furnishings

Alle på hotellet gjorde dette til en magisk ferie for oss. Vi følte oss utrolig velkomne og ivaretatt fra det øyeblikket vi ankom.

Accueillis avant l'heure prévue. L'endroit est charmant, calme, la piscine grande et bien entretenue, avec vue sur l'océan, parfaite. La plage est accessible depuis l'hotel. Le personnel est très sympatique. Compte tenu des prestations, le prix est juste.

Tolles Haus, nein eher eine Villa oder ein Herrenhaus im Kolonialstil früherer Zeiten, ein echter Hingucker, direkt am Strand. Im EG sind nur ein oder zwei Zimmer, aber ein sehr großer Aufenthaltsbereich, Küche, Bar und der Zugang zur spektakulären Terrasse mit dem großen Pool, direkt dahinter das Meer. Im OG sind die meisten Zimmer, alles sehr gediegen und repräsentativ, mit tollem Balkon. Insgesamt fühlt man sich weniger wie im Hotel als vielmehr wie zu Hause. Personal ist sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und hilfsbereit, es gibt eigene Security. Frühstück wird am Tisch serviert, sehr lecker und umfangreich. Abendessen muß man vorab bestellen, ist recht teuer, aber qualitativ extrem gut und somit seinen Preis wert. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Geldautomat, Apotheke u. Bushaltestelle sind wenige Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Nicht schön fanden wir, dass in unserem Zimmer die Klimaanlage recht laut war und direkt über dem Bett an der Decke hing, d. h. der kalte Luftzug fällt direkt auf die Schläfer. Die Klimaanlage auszuschalten war aber auch keine gute Idee, weil auch nachts die Temperaturen hoch sind. Ein Flughafenshuttle wird angeboten, aber muß separat bezahlt werden, was man uns vorher nicht gesagt hatte.

Chateau Elysium is an amazing place in the middle of Beau Vallon beach. We ordered dinner and it was excellent - variety of food, fresh fish, creole salads, vegetable with sauce etc. It was delicious. Rooms has beautiful view to the ocean and Beau Vallon Beach. Swimming pool in front of the villa is also great and get a huge advantage for guests. Definitely, we will return again.

Lovely place. Feels more like a «home» than a hotel. Very family style. Nice pool, nice rooms, nice location!
