Clean and quiet. Good value for money

Nice room, host responded to queries very quickly. Iron, ironing board and hairdryer were all very much appreciated as we needed to get ready for a wedding.

This was my first stay at SixteenB. I was away with my friend for her birthday and this was near to the activities we were doing. I booked the smaller room. I did try to upgrade to the larger room but was not able to do so. However Olga did try to do it for me. I loved the smaller room though. It isn’t as small as some other reviews are indicating. There was plenty of room for 2 of us, and all the presents and huge helium balloon I got my friend! The room and bathroom were really clean and fresh. There are lots of extras provided, plenty of tea/coffee products and breakfast foods as well which was a lovely addition and really useful. It’s clear that Olga cares about her guests. She kept on touch with me letting me know she was there if I needed anything. We are definitely coming again. I would recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Olga!

Booked a night related to work. Very clean and comfortable. Easy access and self check in and out. Good facilities and location. Very quiet! Would definitely stay again.

Liked size of bedrooms and bathrooms . Easy walk in shower for mild mobility problems . Good property to share with adult son in second room . Heating very responsive . Host kept in contact to check if any refills etc needed . Only downside for us are stairs access but there were good handrails .

Communication with the host was excellent. The room and bathroom were spotless and nicely furnished. I was pleasantly surprised to find some gluten free snacks in the room. Definitely recommend.

A lovely cosy room in a nice quiet area. Very convenient for transport into York. Olga was very helpful with local info and checking in to make sure everything was okay with the room. Perfect for a one night get away, we'll definitely stop again ☺️

Great communication with a text of full Instructions on how to enter the property, lots of information what’s about int he area, clean and tidy, would definitely go back again

What a great place. Very comfortable, large room and en suite to a very high standard incl. great shower. Lovely touches throughout and great owner communication. Easy on street parking outside in quiet village. Thoroughly recommend

Lovely, spacious room, well kept, clean and really comfortable. Good shower.

Disappointing was the fact that no one was around (or was ever intended to be). I had to collect my key from a box on the wall outside. Breakfast was from a Bistro downstairs - but only on certain days, so 50% of a bed & breakfast was missing. Dangerous was the fact that access was via one stairwell to the first floor and all the windows were locked with no key available. The entrance door could only be opened with a key making escape in the event of a fire unlikely. The restaurant downstairs only increased the chance of a fire occurring. How a license was granted is puzzling!

Well presented, good value, clean and comfortable property in a lovely village with amenities, in easy reach of York. The owner was extremely welcoming and helpful.

Very smart room, good quality furnishings and fittings. Everything we needed for our one night stay. Also enjoyed eating at the Bistro at 16A -excellent food. Would stay again.

Nice quite location with great access toYork without the hassle of the city traffic.

Everything needed even ironing board and iron, fan, hot water bottle and had usb in the plug sockets. Very clean with lovely bistro down stairs with lovely food and service. My only suggestion is could do with hooks in bathroom and a magnifying mirror, but it was beautiful. Glenda

Just said it all!

The bedroom was on the small side, with no chairs. The ‘garden view’ was a joke - it actually overlooked rooftops and neighbouring properties’ parking area, with a workshop at the end. We were also disappointed that there had been no mention that the property was entirely upstairs. We both walk with a stick, so try to avoid stairs - perhaps we misinterpreted ‘garden view’. But we had a great time, the accommodation WAS lovely and the Bistro beneath us was EXCELLENT - for dinner AND breakfast.
