Très bel hôtel, chambre spacieuse et propre. Les piscines et plage sont au top. Personnels est sympathiques et courtois. Animation présente mais pas intrusive. La restauration est correcte mais sans plus. Dans les standards des hôtels tout inclus ( abondammente mais répétitive) . A savoir en janvier 2026 l'hôtel est très excentré et un plus loin de toute habitation. Hôtel vraiment seul. Avons passé d'excellentes vacances au Riu Baobab

This hotel is on a lovely beach about 90 minutes outside of Dakar. It’s a new property with great amenities. The buffet had a lot of variety and food was good. There were a lot of activities from water yoga to kayaking to peddle boats. The beach was very swim able with gentle waves. I wanted to acknowledge Erica at the front desk for fantastic service.

This property sees very few Americans so the language barrier was very tough, but overall I thought the staff was quite rude. Translations took a few tries to understand and at one point the tour desk mocked me. I wanted to sit by the window during dinner but I had to move because as one person I wasn’t allowed to sit at a table for 4 even though it was not crowded and was told to move. Some of the staff were kind but many were dismissive. The room was ok, it was pretty hot and we didn’t have much control over the AC, the shower took a while to warm up. The food was the biggest complaint, but all inclusive usually has bad food. We were even more disappointed to find out the two restaurants that required reservations were also buffets. My last straw was, at the store we bought snacks for our upcoming flight back, and after purchasing many items and about the leave the lady had the audacity to ask me if I had bought the fan that I already came in the store with. As a Black American the last place I thought I would be accusing of stealing would be Africa. Honestly, I found the European guests kinder than the staff. Unfortunate, but I don’t understand how this would ever be considered a 5 star hotel.

L’hôtel est affiché 5 étoiles, mais mis à part la taille et la décoration, je pense avoir suffisamment voyagé à travers le monde pour dire que ce sont des étoiles de complaisance. La chambre est belle, mais le bâtiment fait très « usine » : de longs couloirs sans décoration, du béton. C’est pourtant un hôtel récent, et déjà de la moisissure apparaît dans la douche. À l’arrivée, un fond de gel douche pour la première journée, puis plus jamais rempli. La douche est équipée d’un simple pommeau, pas de douche pluie comme on en trouve dans les établissements qui se respectent. Au buffet, c’est la foule en permanence, et pour accéder aux restaurants, il faut réserver et insister lourdement : au final, seulement deux sur quatre étaient accessibles, les autres étant pris d’assaut ou fermés. Les piscines sont bien, sauf celle avec le bar, beaucoup trop petite pour accueillir tout le monde. Côté animation, les animateurs sont très sympathiques et l’accueil s’est bien passé, avec un homme très professionnel et accueillant. Les bars sont corrects, mais les cocktails sont de simples mélanges inventés, pas de vrais cocktails. Les spectacles sont dans l’ensemble réussis, avec une belle scène. La discothèque est en revanche trop petite et mal configurée : rien pour s’asseoir normalement et confortablement. Le splash world est un vrai plus, mais déjà certains carreaux se détachent dans les piscines. La salle de sport existe, mais elle se limite à un petit rack de 4 machines, dont 2 étaient

Franchement j’ai été très étonné, hôtel, fantastique personnel, magnifique, l’hôtel est très grand Pas, cieux propre qualité du service. Rien à dire je recommande fortement surtout pour les familles, il y a de quoi s’amuser. Dommage que le prix est un petit peu élevé mais ça vaut le coup quand même on en a pour son argent.

Great staff

A very beautiful resort with great rooms. Everything was perfect but the food was average or below average. It’s also a pity that the wine is so bad that it’s undrinkable.
