Great place to stay.

My stay at MÍO hotel was excellent in every way. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff is great. Perfect location.

Great location and good value for your money. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to help me with the minor issues I encountered. Breakfast could have been better, but the rooftop pool and view made up for it!

The area was quiet, considering that a major street was less than a block away and the traffic in Panama City is legendary rude, busy and loud. Off-street parking is good, especially when you have figured out the car elevator! The staff was very helpful and courteous. My only complaints are; 1) no coffee available or in room during the day 2) very few toiletries in the room - only 2 small tubes of hair-care products and a small cake or soap, 2 people - 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels, additional towels or even some soap for the shower and some facial tissue would have been nice.

The pricing was great Staff were incredible. The AC was out for the building when we got there, but they had crews there all day finally getting it fixed. 20 min safe walk from the hotel was a massive shopping mall. Very cute roof top pool with waterfall

A lot of food options around

Everything was excellent. My one problem was the water is really cold in the shower and didn’t get warm no matter how much I tried.

They let me check in early in the morning which I really appreciated. Very good service of the young lady at the reception. The next day I had a really bad experience when entering my room literally 2 minutes after having left it and found a male staff in there, apparently to fix some problem. I had all of my stuff laying around including valuables as I took for granted only I would enter that room. I tried to explain that I found it really inappropriate that they entered without my permission. I had been in the room all morning and left 10.15 so they could have easily knocked on the door while I was there. He explained that he was just following orders. The hotel manager came up a while later but no apology or explanation (as the first guy did all the talking), not even a free dinner for the discomfort and mistrust I was left with. I was later told that their policy says that they can’t enter unless they’ve knocked on the door several times without anyone opening. I was surprised that their policy doesn’t say “we don’t enter without client’s permission or at least without letting them know, unless it’s an emergency”. I just went down the lobby but found that breakfast was taken away so went straight up again; they could so easily have found me if they wanted to. And they had my phone number so could easily have called me too.

Once I arrived I was told the pool was out of service and that I should have received an email, but I didn’t. The room was fairly clean, but the bathroom could have used a little extra attention. The shower walls were were visibly covered with blonde hair. There is very little storage space with no microwave or iron in the room. Also, I couldn’t properly adjust the thermostat in the room so it remained too cold for my liking. The breakfast spread was pretty good and staff was polite, although not overly helpful with helping you with excursions.

Beautiful place. I can imagine revisiting this place with family again.
