1日だけですが、全く清掃がされておらず、ゴミもそのまま、タオル交換もされていない日がありました。今回は会議参加のための宿泊で、朝からプログラムがあったので、早く眠りたかったですが、深夜遅くまで、外が騒がしかったのが少し気になりました。

I rarely write reviews but this place truly deserves the best review. Maybe it’s not the 5 stars hotel but they are doing an excellent job to make guests happy. The owner of the hotel is simply efficient and successful at running a business. The place is clean and well kept. No funny odour in the room. There is a new AC unit in the room. I stayed there for 5 nights. The room was cleaned daily. The room was small but got all the necessities. Breakfast was delicious. The front desk staff was extremely helpful in guiding you with info on how to navigate Funchal, where to eat out, how to get to the airport. The location of the hotel is close to all you need: it’s in the center of Old Town, across the street from the bus stops, near marina, near the market, cafes, restaurants, stores, church. I highly recommend staying at Zarco.

Breakfast had plenty of options and was fresh! A bit of noise from people walking in the hallway and outside but I think that’s expected anywhere you stay in old town Funchal. It’s a lively city! Bed wasn’t the most comfortable, I woke up with a sore shoulder since I’m a side sleeper but fine for a night!

Emplacement parfait avec un excellent petit-déjeuner dont un gâteau qui change chaque jour. Dommage que la chambre n'ait aucune fenêtre car il y fait chaud la nuit avec un climatiseur qui ne fonctionne pas (indique "E7" et ne démarre pas). Chambre à fuir les vendredis/samedis soirs du fait de la proximité d'1 discothèque dont le bruit et les vibrations sont répercutés et empêchent totalement de dormir. Déçue car lors de ma réservation j'avais demandé et reçu confirmation qu'une chambre au"calme" me serait attribuée et cela n'a pas été le cas : dommage !

Amazing location, everything within walking distance. From the street you need to go up some stairs to get to the reception area, mindful with heavy luggage. Staff are amazing, always very helpful. We stayed 7 nights, I felt there should have been more furniture or atleast some hooks in the bedroom and bathroom. On the plus, comfy beds and an amazing shower, continental breakfast was nice, every day they had a different fresh baked cake, absaloutly delicious 😋

Hôtel simple avec un bon rapport qualité prix

João, Carla and the great kitchen and cleaning staff went the extra mile to make our one week stay comfortable. The room we got was an upgrade because we had found the first room’s bathroom uncomfortably cramped. The room we got was an extra story to climb stairs but João insisted that he carry our bags. He was also super helpful with ideas and bus connections. The large windows opened wide in the evenings to let fresh cool air in. If we had to be inside during the day, the AC could cool the room down in minutes. The bed and bathroom shower were roomy and comfortable. Daily room service left the place neat and tidy when came back from our daily adventures.

The breakfast had no hot food, but the cold selection was very good. Location was great. The room was pleasant enough but small and very basic

Trevlig frukost med variation! Vänlig man i receptionen som var behjälplig med tips och annat. Lyhört pga mitt i smeten. Öronproppar hjälper.

I always judge a hotel/b&b by its cleanliness and shower. Other than adjust the shower head as it wasn’t screwed on properly I was happy with the facilities and cleanliness. Staff friendly and kindly accommodated my request to have a late checkout from 12:00pm midday to 14:00pm.

Nice place , close to centre Funchal

We found the staff to be very kind and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the location was fantastic as you were extremely close to the boardwalk, shops and restaurants.

Hôtel bien par contre il faut mentionner qu’il n’y a pas d’ascenseur. Les escaliers sont un peu raides pour une personne âgée
