I stayed at the Tru by Hilton Miami Airport South Blue Lagoon hotel on 21-22 September (Saturday evening). I arrived at the Miami Airport shuttle area (Doors 5-7) around 20:00, but the Tru/Home2 shuttle never arrived. The airport worker directing the shuttles around that area (Doors 5-7) said that she works two-hour shifts and had not seen the shuttle. She suggested I phone the hotel. I phoned and was informed that the shuttle was not operating. I then took a taxi. One reason why I chose this hotel was the free airport shuttle indicated on the hotel website. When checking out, I was given the email of the general manager. I emailed to ask why the shuttle wasn’t operating? I never received a response.

The Lagoon view was nice! The room was clean, however I did not like the fact that you had to squeeze the soap and shampoo dispensers.

Room was not available. When we finally received our room there weren’t enough towels for 4 people. 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper, pillows were flat, no hair dryer. Meal in the restaurant took 2 hours to be served after ordering. Went to front desk for assistance 5 times and they said we’re working on it. My last trip to front desk, in my pajamas, I refused to leave without toilet paper and towels. They finally brought 2 pillows to the room in a plastic bag. They left it in front of the door and ran. Both pillows smelled like a cat peed on them. Last thing was we paid a $12 deposit for transportation to the Miami cruise port and the transport never arrived. The front desk would not refund our $12. If they were my employees, they would all be fired!! I am requesting a full refund.

We stayed two nights after a cruise arrived early they let us store our bags. The part that was frustrating for us was they advised a three check in so when I tried did not get in til 4 they did offer at 3 to change us too two double beds I was with my wife and that’s not what I booked. Rest of the stay was good hotel in good condition.

There was one restaurant and it took us over an hour and a half to get our steak salads too long of a weight not letting us know what was going on with the order. Then when we checked in, nobody explained to us that it was a energy efficient room and that you needed to leave the key in the slot so the keys would work so we walked downstairs to talk to the guy who checked this in and he made us feel very stupid and inadequate since we should’ve had known that it was any efficient room, but that was never told to us so we were considered ignorance for not knowing

Lovely breakfast, close proximity to the airport with complimentary shuttle and pre-arranged transport to the cruise port (for a reasonable price).

Easy parking, close to the airport, bar and breakfast with an amazing view!

Just a quick overnight stay. Angel at the desk was polite, courteous and efficient. Lobby smelled clean and fresh, the room was perfect, very clean and perfect for our overnight stay. The 10th floor lounge was perfect for a nightcap, and again in the morning foe the beat hotel breakfast weve ever seen. We will definitely be back...

Clean and customer service

Nice staff and property. The property was clean and the staff is professional. My issue is the noise. We were first dealing with a dog barking in the room next to us. The staff provided a new room and the first floor has a lot of hallway noise.

Toilet paper holder was broken.

Would stay again.
