Alles top aan de lokatie. Medewerkers, eigenaar allemaal zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Onze kamer was een droom. 's Ochtends een knus ontbijt, waarbij de echtgenote van de eigenaar vaker aanwezig was met tips voor uitjes. Midden in de natuur, we hoorden de hele tijd bellen. wij dachten eerst van koeien maar het bleken paarden met bellen omdat ze ook vrij het nabijgelegen bos in konden. We hebben zelfs een paar maal reeën gezien. Bezoek was midden juni tijdens de europese hittegolf, toen was het zwembad was een uitkomst ;D

Tolle Lage am Waldrand, extrem ruhig. Das Apartment war sehr schön und alles Notwendige war vorhanden. Die Betten sind bequem, das Bad ist sauber und geräumig. Das Frühstück wird sehr liebevoll zubereitet. Der Pool ist ein echtes Highlight.

Awesome accommodation! Even though there is no front desk and all check in autonomous, it is super efficient. Rooms are gorgeous & clean and a hearty breakfast is included in the stay all while being within 10 min to the airport!

The hosts go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay, the room was great, and the natural elements were excellent. I'll be back.

This was one of my favourite stays. Spacious, quiet, breakfast was incredible, staff were accommodating, loved our room, overall amazing experience and would recommend to anyone.

Relaxing stay! The room was comfortable and clean. The entire property is beautiful. The breakfast was excellent each morning and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace sipping our wine and eating our snacks from the local market.

The breakfast was excellent. They told us about a fiesta in Mungia that we were able to attend. We needed to drive to dinner but both recommended restaurants were very good and only a short drive.

Our stay at Basoan was amazing. It was a nice central location from which to take day trips into Bilbao or around the region. The hosts were very helpful and generous. The room and surrounding area was very relaxing - just what we wanted after a week of traveling around. If we are ever in the area we will most definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for a countryside escape that is in a beautiful area, yet not very far from the big city of Bilbao and airport, this accommodation fits the bill. The setting is lovely. These modern suites have full height windows with doors that allow an unhindered view of the beautiful forest from anywhere in the room. Electrically controlled, full window shutters are in place for those hot days. Our suite, Haritza, is very large with a super king sized bed and a huge walk-in shower. There is a living/dining area with a couch and large TV as well as a kitchenette, that allowed us to cook some meals. We also had our own secure wifi router signal ! The swimming pool is pristine. Lay on the sun loungers to relax under the sun or the umbrellas. Watch the hawks, martins, cranes fly by. Maybe you will see the deer as well. The staff are very helpful and friendly, like all the people we met in the Basque area. Breakfast was a treat. You can have your eggs cooked to order and enjoy a selection of prepared fruits and beverages. Sit inside or outside, if you prefer. You will need a vehicle however, if you wish to explore the area but even short trips are very rewarding. After just 2 nights, we decided to extend our stay for over a week ! For us, Basoan became our hub and returning after a day out, was like coming home. If you enjoy the countryside, nature, peace and quiet, then this accommodation is a great choice.

An incredibly beautiful property. We stayed in probably the best room as it was the top floor corner with a gorgeous balcony view of the area, and the pool. Full open kitchen with dining and living room space. Stunning combination of modern contemporary architecture with clean lines but mixed rustic elements to create a wonderful vibe of comfort. Wish we stayed for more than one night.

As a world wide traveller, this has to be one of the best places I have ever stayed. Relaxing, comfortable, stylish and beautiful. I’m already planning when I can go back and enjoy one of Jokin’s omelettes for breakfast.

We have been in Spain for over 2 weeks and this was our favorite accommodation. Large and modern with a kitchen, a swimming pool and nestled among the trees and a few horses. The staff and dining areas were fantastic. And the breakfasts delicious. There is also a nice swimming pool. For us this was a perfect location for exploring Bilbao.

We booked Basoan to unwind after a city trip and a cruise and it was the perfect location to relax! Just a 10 minute ride from Bilbao airport Basoan is a quiet secluded place surrounded by greenery, but close enough to the city and beautiful beaches and sightseeing opportunities - provided that you have a car. The „hotel“ itself is small and well equipped. Rooms are spacious and clean, WiFi (much more important than TV) is fast and reliable and the pool is a welcome way to refresh. Breakfast is being served, other meals you can either prepare in the in-room kitchen or go to the restaurants and bars in close proximity. Communication with the staff was friendly and they also supplied great tips for excursions and restaurants. Basoan is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation and/or a workation. Highly recommended, five stars!
