Facing the hotel entrance across the hotel is a polluted canal with some sewage stench. Secondly, the property's actual amenities are out of synch with the images. The rooftop skybar is diplidated. The gym is disused. The room's wall, floor vinyl, standing lamp, electrical socket faceplate, requires urgent maintenance. Each floor's common area carpeting appears moudly. Given the tight budget due to lack of tourism, maintenance probably fell back. I had also observed drain flies and mosquitoes. The hotel's guests are now primarily locals and some Chinese tourists. Thus the morning breakfast does not include western style. Fortunately, I like Burmese food The bed and pillows are firm and comfortable. Towels are fresh and clean. I will give a 5 to the staff who tried their best to keep up their spirit and perform their tasks. I am also appreciative to the restaurant's chef and waiter who cooked an off-the-menu Burmese vegetable curry dish for me. Based on the current stay, the tariff rate is probably below expectation.
