Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Close to pier and downtown. Left a shirt in room & they were eager to help; I pay for shipping label. Water bottles in lobby market for $9 & $10 ...ridiculous & outrageous. Website lists $25 for parking per nite & actually $30 when valet takes car.

Not worth the cost though. The toilet paper holder was broken and the decor was a weird 50s revival. I don’t know it was weird and would be better just modern. Also did not like that the electricity for the room only works if you leave a key in. That was odd.

We loved the valets!! They were respectful, courteous, & helpful! The overnight front desk was a little absent. I forgot my key & phone & was not able to get in until my husband came looking for me on each floor. The phone at the front door was missing g so there was no way to communicate with anyone.

Closeness to the Boardwalk

Proximity to the boardwalk is what you’re really paying for here. Accommodations at the hotel itself were basic but fine. Food in cafe ranged from decent to bad. Hotel “store” was a glorified closet and poorly stocked. Room was clean and comfortable, but nothing about it felt extra. Refrigerator barely worked, and I didn’t bother asking for help as I’d already seen at check-in that staff were stressed and over-tasked. I call the hotel the day before our trip to tell them we’d be arriving late, and that we had an additional kid in our group. Hotel staff that answered told me he “didn’t care about any of that,” and didn’t ask for my name or reservation, so no note was taken. We arrived near midnight to a traffic jam in hotel garage. We were told the garage was full and we couldn’t park there. Hotel had no driveway either, so I asked what I was to do? I had a car full of kids and luggage, near midnight, and there’s no place to park safely while checking in? Valet suggested I try the back alley, so instead I waited while my daughter went to the front desk. Soon she ran back: if I didn’t check in NOW we might lose our room. Valet was unhappy, but I left car, kids, and luggage in the garage aisle and ran inside. Front desk confirmed overbooking due to computer error, and said we were lucky to get the last room. I felt bad for him. He ended up giving us his parking space when he clocked out. Valet stayed grumpy with me all weekend.

They need more staff at the restaurant.

The property was updated and clean. Walkable to the beach. Wish they had a continental breakfast.

Easy to get to the boardwalk. I didn’t like that they never cleaned our room the whole time we were there. It just seemed understaffed.

As guests for only 1 night, we had to park around the block and carry our luggage all the way to the front of the hotel. There was no parking available which was extremely inconvenient for our family. Since we had to park on the street, the public parking ended (without a permit) at 9 a.m. When we left for breakfast and to move our car at 9 a.m., there was still no parking available at the hotel. When we found a closer parking spot, we had to pay for a meter, and when I asked the staff if they could help us make change (just so we could finish our breakfast and check out without having to move our car again -- and get our luggage out easier), the receptionist was not helpful and said "no". With the amount we paid to stay for one night, I would have expected more from the service. I understand that there is a lot the staff cannot control, but the lack of parking for a customer staying at this hotel really created a domino effect of inconveniences for our family.

The hotel location is fantastic if the Boardwalk is your focus, literally one block away. The room was large with a sitting area. We traveled with our two kids and the sofa bed was useful. There was enough space for a twin blowup mattress too. There's a pool, although we didnt use but saw olentyy of kids wnjoying it.

The elevator did not feel trustworthy. I heard another family saying they got stuck in the elevator. The hotel is not even a year old and has problems. The parking was terrible. It is too over priced. I would not stay there again.

Giving a positive rate due to location very near the boardwalk and the valet staff were nice. Except from the check out little misunderstanding with the staff . For the rooms we’re about average the bed was not comfy , wish they had a breakfast buffet, parking could be free and pool area could be updated but for its location can’t beat it. Near to local store and Taqueria who (fogot /miss the chx quesidilla . )

First off - Valets were great. Parking is a pain, but they made it easy to get in/out. Just about everything else was...challenging. When we checked in, our room was reasonable (nice and clean, but we had some broken furniture that we had to work around). Our room had a door to an adjoining suite that was closed as the room was occupied by another traveler. Shortly after check in - we kept hearing screaming and loud noises coming from somewhere, but the could not figure out where. The hallway had some noise, but was very manageable - the insane level of noise was due to the adjoining suite and showed no signs of abating (kids have bad days - I get it). So I went to the front desk to see if we could simply change rooms since we needed to sleep. The manager stated they didn't have any other rooms available to move us to. However when I asked if renting a second room was an option, she stated that they had plenty of inventory for that and found an available room with similar attributes. We got a discount on the second room, but they would not refund the initial (unusable) room. Followed up with Hotels.com support, Marriott Corporate and will be escalating to my credit card company next. Also - Elevators are not in good shape - the running joke was all the folks taking the stairs as it sounded like the metal boxes were going to get stuck at any time. Regarding food service - front desk said food was available til 10pm, TV menu says the same - the reality is 9pm - heads up!
