It was comfortable

Charming building,with laundry and cafe. Well equipped kitchen

Once inside the property was amazing. I could not fault it. However, it took me and my daughter a while to get in the front door. This had no reception and we were a little stuck outside until I called for assistance over the phone. The entrance was a door into the cafe not the actual front entrance, the instructions sent via email was convoluted. I had to take my phone case off for the digital key to work. I suggest maybe a review on how your guests enter the property.

The apartment was well maintained, comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils you could need. Communication was good, prompt friendly service. Location was great.

Windows couldn't be opened in the bed rooms for fresh air, no air conditioning in bed rooms, ended up sleeping in the lounge room as it was the only room with an aircon.

Lovely staff , sewerage smells in room for entire 3 day stay. No lift to basement level of the apartment-, and no on site staff to help, difficult for older people with luggage.

What I didn’t like, was the fact My accommodation room was located on the lowest floor where the outside drainage had issues. Resulting in triggering my Asthma due to the room being damp and wet.The room had a humidifier which indicated to me management knew about the problem. Gordon House Apartments have emailed me offering 3 days refund. I have sent an email to Wotif support requesting to organise the refund. Still waiting for a response.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Great location. I felt the need to clean the shower when we arrived. This was after we needed to switch rooms because our first room was not cleaned properly either.

Great location, no internal signage so took some time to find my room.Lift doesn't go to lower floor so had to carry luggage up and down. Room ok ,really quiet ,has huge potential needs TLC

I really enjoyed my stay at the Gordon House apartments. It was a quiet oasis in a big city. Although old, it was tidy and comfortable.

Liked that the apartments were only 3 stories high and had big sky light atrium roof . Palm trees and garden made it feel very unique and calming .

What an amazing property !! A photographers subject on every staircase and courtyard. Fill of rich history, and thats before you are delighted by the rooms/apartment. Everything you need, amazing kitchen, comfortable beds, lovely shower, really clean and quiet. With Chinatown right there and trams abound, it is a fabulous location. I highly recommend this property and will be back.

Excellent location. Quiet and very comfortable.

Property was absolutely gorgeous inside and our room was great. We loved this spot as it was is in short walking distance of trams and a lot of other attractions. Only thing to complain about is a lack of attention to detail in cleaning. Oven trays and inner oven was filthy and places like inside the fridge did not looked cleaned either. Obviously this isn’t the biggest deal in the world so we would definitely still recommend this place highly to a friend.

I want to give the Gordon House Apartments a high rating, but I can't. Hotels.com booked us in a room that did not exist. The hotel scrambled to find us a space. Unfortunately it was a studio apartment right next to the café -- as in next to the window by the bed is a table a café. Noisy when the café was open from 7-3, but peaceful the rest of the time. While I appreciate them squeezing us in, and allowing us to check in early, the limited privacy was an issue. They do not have a front desk. I don't know what you do if the café is not open. As a non-Australian, we had issues communicating by phone (later learned they do use WhatsApp). I had to download an app in order to open the door to the apartment complex and to the room. My advice: great place, convenient to CBD, but do not book the studio!

Gorgeous old brick building with a lot of character. Modern apartment, pretty courtyard and in a perfect location for anything you want to do around the CBD

Had a great stay at The Gordon. Very reasonably priced and the whole place has a great vibe. Super close to China Town and the MCG. Would stay here again!

Older building but pretty clean and tidy and had all facilities. Toilet was located awkwardly in bathroom - too close to wall, but I coped. Great area and easily walkable to theatres, MCG and many other places.

Great historic apartments, high ceilings, clean and quiet. The app to open main door and apartment door are fine once you get the hang of using it. Would stay again.
