Friendly and helpful staff; convenient location - downtown within short drive

I would recommend Destino to anyone going to El Calafate. The location relative to the bus station is convenient, and it's very clean and modern. Also, the breakfast was quite good for a Continental.

Modernes Hotel, Frühstück in Ordnung, Zimmer zur Straßenseite sehr laut, keine Belüftung im Zimmer (nachts muss man unter Umständen das Fenster geöffnet lassen, sodass es sehr laut ist).

The hotel and staff were very good but the hotel is isolated and a 15 minute walk to town for restaurants.

The hotel building looks brand new and so is everything inside which makes the hotel extremely convenient. It's a 3 minute walk from the bus stop which is why we chose it, but it's about 20 minutes from the main street downtown. There are a couple of restaurants close by but we mostly took a taxi downtown for meals, costs about 3 USD each way. There is no air conditioning and it can get warm inside the room on a sunny day even if it's cool outside. Only part of the window opens so it wasn't easy to cool the room down. They should have considered a ceiling fan. The rooms are impeccably clean. The mattress was average in terms of comfort. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. They call taxis for you and even exchange your dollars for you. The breakfast was great with made to order eggs and it's available as early as 630am. Overall a great stay.

El Hotel está a casi 2 kms del centro, de ida puedes ir caminando porque es de bajada, pero de regreso es pura subida el último kilómetro Entonces te obliga a depender del Taxi todo el tiempo. Los días que estuvimos hubo cortes de agua en la ciudad y nos quedamos sin agua, ya que el Hotel no tiene reserva de agua suficiente para atender a los cuartos y estuvimos sin bañar. Las camas son algo incómodas y malas almohadas. El Wifi funciona bien, y el personal es amable, pero insisto, es un hotel para jóvenes mochileros
