What I liked was the location. But I cancelled another reservation and booked this property which I deeply regretted. The staff was so untrained in guest comfort and services. The rooms were poorly maintained. half the lights were not working. Though it was terribly cold and windy, the staff did not offer us any hot water bags. I came to know from my driver that this is a regular practice as the beds are very cold. There was also no hot water in the bathroom even ate time that it was supposed top be there. One had to literally drink freezing cold water as there was also no hot water kettle in the room and no service phone lines were working so one had to walk all the way to the reception area if you needed anything. The property wi-fi was also not working and with no network in the area this was really dangerous. One of the worst stays that I ever had. We were checking out early so asked them to pack us sandwiches for breakfast or at least give us some fruit if possible or even tea and bread but they said they could not give us anything at 6 in the morning. so we left without breakfast for which they have charged us. Really a sad stay. will not recommend this property

Booked via Hotel.com. The staff and the manager did not have knowledge of the reservation. They offered another room category for the same price I booked when in actuality that room was inferior and cheaper to book. Additionally, the manager I spoke to based in Leh was EXTREMELY rude. He claimed they don’t sell rooms on hotels.com and that I booked the room via an agent and that he couldn’t do anything. All I was politely asking for what I paid in terms of product and service. Additional items to note: (1) the road to the property is dirt road full of rocks (2) the room doesn’t have heating and the temperature drop is significant at night (3) hot water availability is timed from 7am to 10 am and then later in the evening till 10pm - not sure of other properties in the area have this same schedule for hot water Except for the rude unaccommodating manager the stay and the visit was nice. I WOULD NOT recommend this property. It’s hyped and marketed well on the internet. The ground reality is very different.
