カントリー調の建物を少しモダンにアレンジしたホテルです。建物が少し古いのか壁やドアが薄く、他のお客さんの声が結構響きます。（ここに限らず、アイスランドの宿泊施設はこういうところが多いです） 設備が少し古いのかシャワーの温度があまり上がらないうえ安定せず苦戦しました。 建物の外に3人ほどが入れるホットタブがありました。 アイスランドのホテルやゲストハウスは大体そうですが、このホテルの周辺にお店やレストランはありません。 そのため夕食はこのホテルに併設されているレストランを予約することをお勧めします。 メニューはビュッフェのみで、アイスランドの農家風の家庭的な料理が並んでいました。レストランでは味わえない素朴さがとてもよく、美味しかったです。 ホテルには犬と猫がいて、とても可愛かったです。 唯一残念だったのが、レストランにいたスタッフの対応です。 宿泊日、スタッフの一人がトライアングルを鳴らして呼びに来ました。夕食開始の合図です。 私はレストランに入りました。 並んだメニューを眺めていると、レストランのキッチンにいた高齢のスタッフが私たちをドアの窓から睨んでいました。 その後白人系のお客が入ってくると、その高齢の女性スタッフは夕食メニューの説明をしにやってきました。さっき睨んでいたのが嘘みたいな笑顔でした。 そのスタッフはもしかしたら、人種に好みのある方なのかもしれません。 家庭的な料理とアットホームな雰囲気のレストランというのもあって、あまりのギャップに背筋が凍りました。 設備は工夫しだいでどうにかなる場合もありますが、こういう経験は逃れようがないですし、嫌でも心に残ります。 それだけがとても残念で、衝撃的なホテルの思い出になりました。 ちなみに1週間のアイスランド旅行でホテルやレストランにたくさん行きましたが、このような経験をしたのは、このホテルだけでした。 他の人が同じ経験をしないことを、心から祈っています。

The location makes it special and really give a country side feel. The lobby, reception area and dining hall were like a museum with so many artful pieces.

Lovely secluded location. Cozy lounge and dining area. The rooms are very bare-bones and lacking in amenities but are comfortable. All the staff are lovely, including all of the four-legged friends.

Staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. This is very much a bed and breakfast in the country and I love them for it. Food was good and hearty. Common room was cozy to watch the world cup with fellow guests while the children played with the toys. We had the family room with beds for 5. Only down side was the bathroom. These were clean but very rustic. Also no tub for the baby. I would still return. Also lightening fast Wi-Fi. Not that I wanted to work but it helped to stream world cup while the babies slept.

The layout of our room was a bit unusual, but it was all right. Breakfast was really good and staff were friendly and helpful.

Very artsy decor which seems very unique for Iceland which is usually more sterile/minimalist. The hot tub was not hot enough for our liking. Otherwise very cool place to stay for a night.

Cooles Hotel mit einem Sammelsurium an Stühlen, Tellern und Tassen im Frühstücksraum. Nettes Personal, gutes Frühstück. Zimmer sauber, etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber charmant. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Lage gut am golden Circle

Room was clean. The only thing is if you come in winter it seems like they don’t plow their parking lot or driveway so you may get stuck.

Das Hotel ist so schön und liebevoll eingerichtet, es war unser erste Unterkunft in Island und wir haben uns sofort so wohl gefühlt. Am ersten Abend kamen wir spät, aber durften trotzdem noch am Buffet teilnehmen. Das Frühstück war so reichhaltig und liebevoll zubereitet und hergerichtet, ich hätte den ganzen Morgen einfach in diesem tollen Raum bei Kaffee und Porridge sitzen können. Die Leute sind sehr nett und angenehm. Aber auch die Lage ist sehr günstig, man kann von hier aus viele besondere Orte in der Umgebung mit dem Auto gut erreichen. Ich kann es nur zu 100% empfehlen! Auch meinem Kind (11 Jahre) hat es sehr gut gefallen. Viele Dank für die schöne Zeit hier!!

Really nice place.

Comfortable, clean, and cozy. Beautiful views and the hot tub was just what we needed after a log day. Staff was responsive and helpful. Looking forward to staying again on the next visit

The room is clean and the staff are very helpful. However, the bathroom doesn’t have a shower curtain, so it gets quite wet after a shower. The room for four people is also a bit small.

Overall was a pleasant stay. Receptionist was kind to give us a room at the main building as it was snowing outside & we had many luggages - thank you! The hotel has a homely feel. Improvements to breakfast will be helpful i.e. having bowls (for granola/yogurt), bacons or maybe improving display/presentation overall (more tables vs 1 main dining table), muesli/granola may add some add-ons like cashew nuts/dried apricots/raisins/etc. min 2 fruits variety, etc. Room’s socket to place above table will be great so we don’t have to bend down be ideal. Thank u once again & love the dogs at the hotel. They were well trained & friendly. Think that was the best part of the stay to have one greeting us when we arrived!

Very good. Retro furniture. No electricity outlet near the bed. Bad and too expensive dinner and breakfast with too limited option and low quality.
