Excellent stay!

The place was excellent. The hosts welcomed us very warmly and made us feel right at home. Very clean room and super comfortable kind size bed were really great. Definitely will go back there next time

For my wife and I, the major factor with a B&B is the hosts. Al and Annette were wonderful. And with just an overnight stay we came away smiling, rested, and pleased...:)

Al and Annette are excellent hosts and happy to play board games with us.

We had a wonderful experience staying here. The owners welcoming and friendly, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality truly enhanced my visit, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Our stay at the Gathering Place on Golden Ponds was very enjoyable. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The location is very scenic and the room was decorated beautifully. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is that we had to use a bathroom on a different floor so had to walk up the stairs and through their living area to get to the bathroom. However there is one located on the same floor that was in use by other guests. We enjoyed looking around at Old Hastings Mercantile and Gallery which is just down the road and is amazing.

Cute little B&B nestled in the woods, Al and Annette are a sweet couple with a great sense of humour. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay away from the hustle and bustle this is the spot.

Nice, quiet and relaxing place to stay.

A lovely cozy cabin type house nessled in the woods! The house is full of history and a must see for any nature loving enthusiast. The owners were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable in their home. We ate dinner in Bancroft at the local pub! If going up in the area again, it will be on our list of places to stay again!

Rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless, the bed the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Beautiful and quiet location. The owners are artists and their work in on display. This is the nicest place we have stayed on our trip - too bad we were on our way home and couldn't stay longer.

Al and Annette were Superb hosts! Their property is a hexadecagon, unique in design and full of character. The breakfast was wonderful with home made jams , toast and personal touch. The place lived up to its description “where friends become family”. We would like to visit again with family and friends. And of course one more thing. Al and Annette are talented artistes at their works of art which they have created so passionately! Thank you Al and Annette!

We were welcomed by Al and Annette and their sweet girl Ginger who right away made us feel very comfortable. Our room was spacious, and very clean, the bed was extremely comfy and we enjoyed a very good restful sleep. Breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this lovely B&B to anyone travelling into this area.

Beautiful and unique house and surroundings, specious room with an access to the lovely garden. Very nice hosts. We will come back for sure.

Wow wat een verbogen parel! Wij hebben helaas hier maar één nachtje overnacht, maar wij konden zo meer nachten verblijven. Heerlijk in de natuur met veel groen en heerlijk rustig. Kamer zijn super schoon, veel handdoeken, badkamer compleet en de tuin is de moeite waard om een wandeling in te maken. Ook de host was super vriendelijk, geduldig en wij werden wakker met de enorm goede en lekkere blueberry pancakes! Enorm genoten van deze stop en wij komen graag weer een keer langs als we in de buurt zijn. Enige punt: Er is geen restaurant in de buurt, dus daar moet je even rekening mee houden. Daardoor wel weer heerlijk rustig.

Amazing place beautiful inside and out . Al and Annette make everyone feel like family. Quite and relaxing and Ginger the dog is just the sweetest. Can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful place with wonderful human beings as hosts. They make you feel as if you were part of their family. Lots of laughing with them under their gazebo. Very clean and quiet. Bravo à Annette et Al pour l'accueil chaleureux qu'ils ont envers leurs invités. Je remercie la vie de les avoir mis sur notre route.
