I called to let the hotel know that i would be late for check-in. The clerk stated she wasn't seeing my reservation. Only upon giving my reservation number did they say they will call me back in 10min to verify my reservation. I waited 30min and no one called. When i called back the clerk then informed me that they found the reservation and the room was available. Upon arrival to check-in @7pm the room was not ready and we had to be reassigned another room (which worked out well for us in the long run as our neighbours was our friends). There was only 1 staff at the front desk who had to escort us to the room in addition to attend to other guests. Was given a code for the wifi however the wifi did not work. The tv has no cable and cannot access youtube or netflix without the wifi. We had to use our personal wifi to connect to the tv, very inconvenient. The bed room door did not close properly to allow for privacy from the sitting area, the shower door did not close properly so water kept getting on the bathroom floor and one of the window latch was broken. Breakfast staff was accommodating and friendly and the food was delicious. Overall some maintenence and upkeep needs to be done. The room was clean and tidy dispite the few issues.

the staff member was not initially pleasant. while the room was clean inside, the exterior of the property was run down. the linen on the beds were very limited. to get extra amenities (glass, ice) you had to cross the street to the other side of the property and get it yourself. the pool/ lounge area was poorly lit at night. The breakfast was the only highlight of the stay. I do NOT recommend this "resort" as it was not a resort....

Excellent location, friendly service from all the staff, good food, they just need to improve the wifi coverage in the rooms and the water supply because it was very scarce and the pipes had air.

Property needs to have proper walkway to staircase to home.

The rooms were clean however the infrastructure was quite old and run down. I would have appreciated if the service staff at the breakfast area were kinder. The walkway to the cabana was extremely muddy and sometimes impassable because it would be flooded and slippery.

I was amazed at how beautifully designed this hotel was the rooms were gorgeous. Near the rooms are armed beautiful dark skinned men standing in front of a booth all night lol really makes you feel protected😜 the food and drinks were great as well as the views from the private beach

Like the pool and the secenery , staff were friendly , area where water overflows from pool is dangerous as there is no cover can fall in if your a child or not looking properly , and can do with a clean . Room was clean and comfortable , a few minor attention to details needed, was given a kettle with no tea cups , and when asked never got , all in all we had a good time would go back place has alot of potential

Chaquacabana is in a beautiful location however there are a few things that can be fixed: 1) the area by the sea at night there should be lights on the trees so the place is amply lit 2) there should be enough tables and chairs by the restaurant so that you done have to be looking for tables or chairs a good way from the restaurant. 3) the bathrooms in the lobby area need to be cleaned regular as it was dirty alot of times 4)There is no AC in the lobby 5) around our room cabana there was lots of mud and water settled alot.... and our car tires nearly stuck. Please consider casting the area to drive into the cabana in concrete. 6) When getting breakfast it'd be great if the tables had umbrellas to shelter some of the direct sun.

Fun for families with kids. Beautiful setting and scenery but hotel needs a lot of upkeep .the room was great and big and comfy. Water pressure was really weird,.too strong and shooting out the shower head and faucet. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable! Water bottles and toiletries were a nice extra in the room. Breakfast was included for our family, it was good and big portions. I would go back. The only negative was there was a party in a bungalow next to us but the AC fan was loud enough for me not to hear their music.

Staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Its really quiet and i only wish that the rooms were closer or in clear view of the ocean.

I liked the location with the mountains in the ocean. Also I liked the friendly staff. The servers and the chef. I suggest an enclosed area for meals. This will remove the easy access to flies and the pigeons.

Inefficient staff at front desk . Poor and musky smelling room . Cold and nasty carpet unkept place need a entire overhaul

Facility needs minor improvements on the rooms and surroundings.
