I am very impressed by the written information about the building's historical backgroud.

Dusty and dated hotel. Staff were nice and was reasonably priced. Thin walls and noisey neighbours in the room next door. I wouldnt hurry back.

The room was awful with mould in the bathroom and there was a smell of used cooking fat that permeated throughout the hotel. The staff were fine on reception.

Road traffic noise is terrible and car park flood lights directed at room window like sleeping during the day. Very basic, old room requires refurbishing.

Room was good. Radiators worked very well! No shower gel or shampoo provided - it's a budget hotel so that's ok.

Room was clean but very tired . In dire need of a paint /refurb . Bed was comfortable and hot shower . Looked like sort of place for contractors. Pub joined was nice but very quiet for a weekend and overpriced.

Room was freezing when we arrived, we had to contact the reception to fix the radiator and the phone in the room didn’t work but the beds were comfy and the staff were lovely.

Parking can be a challenge at busy times. I didn’t expect much due to room cost, so i wasn't surprised when i turned up to what appeared to be a 1980's style themed hotel. No lift, so i can imagine people with mobility issues could have a problem staying here. My room was on the top floor. Decor was very dated. Bed quite hard, pillows were too soft. Wall lamps had dust and cobwebs hanging from them. Toilet seat was loose and slipped to side when seated sometimes. Lighting levels seemed very low in bathroom. Wardrobe had ample space and tea/coffee making facility was a bonus. Breakfast options were adequate and reasonable service

We enjoyed our stay. We didn't do anything locally as we were visiting pur friends who live locally. However I would stay here again
