We were looking for a fun and comfortable place to stay for a night on our road trip—something the teenagers would enjoy—and were initially really impressed. Courtney at check-in was fantastic: warm, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience went downhill after that. When we returned from the pool, we walked into a room that was stuffy and had a strong musty smell. Both my friend and I are sensitive to mold, and we immediately noticed the air quality felt off. We both woke up the next morning with unbearable headaches and nausea, and even my teenage son felt unwell the entire car ride home. At checkout, we learned that the air conditioning automatically shuts off whenever you leave the room. This policy is deeply concerning. Not only is it uncomfortable—especially in Texas summer heat—but it also creates a perfect environment for mold to grow in a humid, poorly ventilated space. Anyone with even basic knowledge of HVAC systems knows this isn’t a sustainable or healthy approach. It’s also less energy efficient long-term, as the system has to work twice as hard to cool the room down each time you return. We returned to the room after dinner to find it hot and stuffy again, and even tried adjusting the AC in the middle of the night—only to be told later that all units are timed and preset. I sincerely hope this policy is reconsidered. It poses a real health risk and made what should have been a fun overnight stop a very unpleasant experience

Parking is horrible!! Bed is uncomfortable for what you are paying! Pool party is not family friendly and over crowded. I paid over 1k for 3 nights and came home with a stiff back and a horrible over crowded experience at the pool.

Loved everything about our experience here at the Hilton Anatole. I would like to give out some information that wasn't told to us until after the fact. They do add a 15% gratuity to any and everything you purchase there at the resort. Just a heads up.

Jade Waters is what brought us here to the Hilton Anatole and it was a hit with the kid, she loved water slides and lazy river and just being in the environment of the hotel was a great experience on this trip!

Too many fees, parking is confusing and you have to pay for it. Not enough floats on lazy river, water park area looks bigger in pics. Did like the lobby and halls were spacious.

Our car was stolen out of valet where you think it would be safe. We were there for our 40th anniversary and our truck was stolen .

I was extremely disappointed in the temperature of our room. I’m a teacher who took my girls for a last fun getaway and the two nights we stayed we slept terrible due to the ac not working correctly. I put in four calls and they kept sending someone to work on the ac and explained that they had switched it the day prior due to a family staying that liked the temp on 80°. One of the mechanics told me he was wondering if it would be a problem. Though the workers were kind and came to help the only thing we were offered were a couple of box fans to circulate the temperate. They ended up bringing one and it was incredibly noisy. We did have to keep it going to get some kind of drop in temp. It’s a beautiful hotel and when you spend that kind of money you expect cool temps as a relief from the summer heat. I was never offered a room change nor any kind of discount. Just not what you would expect from such a well known hotel. It’s difficult when I’m a single mom on a teacher income and I spent a decent amount to sleep sweaty.

Only issue was the hot steamy atrium. Broke a sweat walking from the elevator all the way to the room.

Difficult parking

Overall, my experience was okay. One of the main inconveniences was the gym being located on the opposite side of the hotel. However, the biggest challenge was the service at the front desk. Check-in took an unusually long time, especially with only two employees working during a busy conference. I also had an issue with my room key the next afternoon and ended up waiting over 20 minutes due to slow service.

I booked this property because of the pool and outdoor area. Upon check in I was notified that the outdoor pool would be closed during the duration of my stay.

The hotel was great. The dining options were nice, but a bit expensive. The pool area was amazing. I’d go back.

Front desk staff were extremely welcoming. Stayed in the tower room and they were very nice.
