Donna was a great host and a really good cook. Loved the peaceful grounds and abundant birds. Highly recommend.

The house and deck had gorgeous views of the river and mountains. It was peaceful and relaxing. Donna, the owner, was very accommodating, sociable and offered us access to the entire home with use of the kitchen, fireplace, outdoor fire pit and outside deck areas. Breakfast was also excellent! We higjly recommend this BandB and will look to visit again in the fall.

Most highly recommend. Very relaxing, comfortable stay. Donna does everything she can to make you feel welcomed, at home, and informed about your options for dining, shopping, activities. Our room and bathroom were very clean, well maintained, functional. Slept very well. Enjoyed our fellow guests at 9am breakfasts. Good value.

I’ve stayed here with my boyfriend twice and it was lovely both times. Donna is very flexible with breakfast plans and check-in times if needed. The location is quiet enough to not hear cars rushing by but close enough to Shenandoah National Park to be an easy drive.

The residence itself was very nice. Loved the interior decorations. I was, however, very disappointed that we were told when we got there it would only be a continental breakfast, not a full, hot breakfast. I wish I had known that when I booked, as I would not have booked there. It was my first bed and breakfast and was looking forward to it. Sad.

River Bluff is a place of beauty, comfort & kindness. We were delayed by numerous violent thunderstorms but the owner's contacts & thoughtful arrival instructions helped. The food was delicious & healthy (fresh fruit, cast iron frittata with veggies, local sausage & good coffee, etc). Our room was well furnished, squeaky clean & comfortable with a fabulous, huge shower. The entire building would work for a family get together: great kitchen & dining, sitting areas, decks, gardens & views of the lovely Shenandoah. It is one of the best! Thanks again!

Nice to be near the river with a bed and breakfast!

This B&B was a great find. The house was out of the beaten path which made it perfect. A river at the bottom of the hill with a porch overlooking it was peaceful. A cow pasture was close by. The owner was lovely and accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious and all homemade. Will refer to friends who live nearby and when in area again, we will definitely stay again.

Unique rustic property with access to relaxing River views and stunning country. Very engaging owners and lovely home!

The house is located at the end of a private road through a pretty farm area. It has 3 bedrooms, one on the first floor, and two on the second. Guests have access to their own rooms using a key, but can use the rest of the house as they wish--store items in the fridge, hang out in the main room, etc. The owner is a lovely person. It was easy and convenient to arrive after official check out and leave before official check in. Would recommend!

Absolutely beautiful place. The guest house was built in 2000 or so but looks like an old log cabin. Beautiful wood floors, modern bathroom, a kitchen with cathedral ceiling with windows, a piano, and a quiet deck outside to sit and enjoy the quiet. Breakfast was home-cooked and amazing, and the coffee was the best I've had at any place I've stayed (and I travel a lot). Highly recommend.
