Reached out to property day before our arrival asking for scent free and feather free room. Stated eta 4pm which is check in time.
After 14 hour drive got to hotel at 407pm to be told room would be available only at 5pm as requested 1st floor feature and scent free as had to address requests. At 5pm told another 20-25 mns needed as hotel was sold out night before.
Finally got our room at 520pm. Upon entering room found a hair elastic on floor in front of fridge, discarded bottle cap under desk and empty water bottle under bed!
Did not even bother to address with front desk as their solution to long wait was brother giving me 1000 bonus points or canceling my reservation.
Rooms are small, bed is somewhat comfortable, requests for extra towels and pillow was never fulfilled.
First and last time at that hotel. We are Bonvoy members and always choose Marriott brand hotels and always ask scent and feather free and 1st floor rooms and never had to wait over an hour past check in time for room due to requests, even when hotel full previous night.
