The staffs are all nice and friendly. We especially enjoyed the continental breakfast. There’s a bus stop in front of the building, so the location was perfect for us.

Great place to stay only downside was it was quite noisy from the road outside I imagine in peak season it would be worse . Room nice although quite hot . Food delicious and staff very attentive.

Room was understandably small as a very old property but clean and everything worked as should. No AC but fan provided. Didn't have breakfast but did have dinner which was excellent.

We stayed in room 5 on the first floor for 2 nights. Pros: great location for visiting the Cotswolds. Stow is a lovely place and the pub is very welcoming. Our room was large and the bed very comfortable and clean. Cons: we could hear the neighbours walking across the floor upstairs late at night. We could also hear them flushing their loo and using the shower. The walls up the stairs to the rooms were very marked and need a good paint refresh. The worst thing for me was the issue with carpet moth, both on the stairs landing and also in the room behind the desk under the tv. It’s so apparent that it’s like an infestation and needs serious pest control attention. It affected my stay as it made the place feel dirty. For that reason I wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning. It is very overpriced for what you get.

We had a wonderful visit. Stow was a great location to see and explore the Cotswolds. The Stag was a perfect “pub inn” with nice/comfortable rooms, and friendly staff, and great restaurant to come back to each evening. The property is located on the town center and convenient to other pubs, restaurants, and shops. I would highly recommend The Stag.

When I checked in I was taken to what they call the Crows Nest. It was a super small room. The stairs were rickety to get to the room. The sink in one area the shower in another and the toilet in a closet. There was a broken makeup mirror. It was useless. There was a full size mirror you wanted to go outside your room on the landing. Shower was either hot water or freezing cold. Coffee maker doesn’t work well. When I talked with the Manager, he said “you booked through Expedia and this is what you get. We don’t like Expedia, you should have booked directly through us and paid the higher price. The wait staff looked like they wanted to be somewhere else instead of working. Food was mediocre. I scheduled a breakfast time. I ordered avocado toast with poached eggs and asked for a side of bacon. I received avocado toast with bacon no poached eggs. Would not recommend this place to anyone and definitely wouldn’t stay there ever again.

Gary the manager was very welcoming every morning with a smile. Nice ales in the bar at night. The meal we had was very good value andthe continental breakfasts were very healthy and varied.
