Beautiful country hotel, small and personal service, delightful comfortable en-suite rooms, warm inviting pool - often to ourselves, incredible top class gourmet food - formal dining and bar food served in the warm and cosy bar area or the relaxing lounge. So much choice at breakfast, all delicious, everything you could want. Can’t wait to go back in summer to enjoy the open terrace overlooking the pond. A real joy to stay here.

The staff all gave the most amazing service, its the care to detail the little extra that stands out. I could not find anything to complain about. The evening menu (££££) looked amazing, however I was not wanting a rich meal . So they let me order a sandwich. My husband enjoyed the fish pie. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent quality with plenty of choice.

The pheasent is a wonderful hotel our room was exceptionally clean and of superb, the staff are always polite, helpful and wear a pemant smile. Breakfast was superb and the pool although small was really well managed with booking slots so it didnt get to busy . All in all a wonderful stay .

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. The location was lovely, and the hotel itself was beautifully designed, with generously sized rooms. Our room even included a separate living area, which made the stay feel especially comfortable. Breakfast was à la carte and delicious, and dinner in the restaurant was a real highlight.

We really enjoyed our stay here, we had a suite with a sitting room and kitchen we were were not expecting. A few cobwebs over the curtains and took us a few goes to figure out the heating, but we got there in the end. The staff we incredible, so polite with exceptional service. We would come back again if in the area.

It was absolutely 5* from the moment we arrived. The place is impeccable, staff incredible and complete luxury. I definitely recommend.

Lovely 60th birthday stay. The food was excellent, the bar, the lounge area and the dining facilities are so snug and such nice places to be. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to return in the near future.

Stayed in a family suite with lounge and kitchen. Everything you needed for your stay was there. Lovely clean accommodation and even a real fire. Bed super comfy. Evening meal superb with good portions and attentive staff who were very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. Fabulous cosy lounges with log fires to choose from and relax. Great bar. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of dishes. This country hotel is only a few minutes drive from Helmsley for shopping. Had a really lovely stay and would return in a heart beat. Thank you.

A gorgeous get away, with lots of lovely touches. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, comfy and clean. Breakfast was a real treat. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, exceptional food.

Lovely decor and made to feel cozy with lots of candles. Room was spacious with nice features such as good coffee, homemade biscuits. Only issue was a lot of plumbing noises coming from adjoining rooms which was very loud at 96:39 in the morning.
