Well everything was fabulous. Goathland is a lovely village and this guest house is run by extremely friendly and likeable staff. Plenty of other guest houses there but I'd return to Halmer Grange without question.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay. Charlotte and Karen were excellent hosts. The breakfasts were splendid.

So quiet and peaceful, and only ten minute walk to village centre. Charlotte and Karen were friendly hosts, nothing too much for them.

The room was spotless the owners were lovely nothing was too much trouble breakfast was beautiful all local ingredients used home msde bread and hospitality tray was always replenished with lovely bakes .

Central if you enjoy walking, nice and quiet location and NYM railway a 5 minute walk away

A comfortable and well equipped B&B with thoughtful touches. Lost a star for breakfast on Day 1 but was redeemed by a superb breakfast on Day 2 so overall well deserving of a 5 star rating

Small hotel but rooms excellent. Breakfast out of this world, spoilt for choice and beautifully cooked with local produce and home made bread. Charlotte and Karen can’t do enough to make your stay.

We received a lovely warm welcome upon arrival before being shown to our very spacious and well appointed en-suite bedroom. The double aspect room was light & airy with views over the moor on one side & church yard on the other. The hospitality tray had a good selection of tea, coffee & water plus some delicious homemade sweet treats. Charlotte & Karen provided some really useful information on the area, local walks and eateries, all duly sampled during the course of our stay. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a wide choice of options, hot or cold. Would definitely recommend a stay at Halmer if looking for somewhere in Goathland. We have already booked a return visit!

Lovely hotel, very friendly and knowledgeable hosts, amazing breakfasts and all in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the North Yorkshire Moors.

The surrounding area is picturesque. Very accessible for people with some limitations in their mobility.

Lovely welcome. Good size room, pretty colours and attention to detail. Real fresh milk provided and home made flapjacks. A delicious breakfast with homemade bread! Everything had been thought about and and was presented well. A place of humour and happiness not excellent- exceptional!

Excellent B and B in a lovely location. Our room was clean , comfortable and had everything we needed .Great hosts. Exceptional breakfast menu , all cooked to order. We will definitely return and would highly recommend.

Charlotte and Karen were fantastic hosts who made our bank holiday retreat fabulous. Perfect little place with great attention to detail and a friendly welcome. Berry granola as a breakfast starter was an event! Would definitely recommend.

The fokes at Halmer Grange were warm and very welcoming to us from the moment we arrived till the time we left. The property was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this guest house to anyone traveling in North East England.
