4星のホテルとしてはトイレ、シャワーが良くない。3星のランクではないか。レセプションとパブのカウンターが別にあれば良い。細い階段は荷物の多い場合は大変であろう。

便利な場所にあるので良いが、エレベーターが無いので、大きなトランクを持った人には薦められない。建物が古く趣があるが、防音されていないので、夜は12時過ぎまうるさい。

Superhyggeligt og stemningsfuldt. Luksus morgenmad og lækre a la carte retter. Perfekt beliggenhed lige op ad bymuren. Eneste minus var meget støjende udluftning fra køkkenet lige ude for vinduet der kørte fra 7 til 22.

Had a lovely stay in York. Had attic room in the old hotel which was nicely presented. No aircon but had a fan. Good sized room and ensuite but no hooks or anywhere to hang towels/clothes. And no room for cosmetics. Good breakfasts. Good location.

Svært rent , ordentlig lite pub hotell. Ekte engelsk sjarm , flott frokost og god beliggenhet. Litt minus for støy, ellers supert. Kommer gjerne igjen

Awesome location. Quaint room decor…I loved it but my wife did not. No air conditioning.

Vi hadde bestilt et stort deluxe dobbeltrom, men fikk tildelt et lite rom på10 kvadrat, svært trangt og ekstremt varmt i øverste etasje. Da vi påpekte feilen, påsto de først at vi i deres systemer hadde fått riktig rom. Vi så imidlertid at de hadde krysset over det rommet vi i utgangspunktet skulle ha hatt og skrevet inn det vi fikk. Da vi viste vår bestilling, som var betalt på forhånd, var det ingen beklagelse eller form for kompensasjon.

The hotel is well-located in the historical center of York, with the windows on one of the main streets.

The older woman who checked us in was rather gruff, but the young girl that waited on us for breakfast was so sweet! The room was pretty, but the bathroom was crazy small. (We had to straddle the toilet to be able to open the shower door!!) The dining room and Secret Garden area made up for the small bedroom and narrow staircase.

We really liked the location. The staff were very helpful.

Spotlessly clean ,fabulous staff, breakfast was so tasty.

Food was excellent from breakfast to dinner and staff were always on hand to help and serve you and situated in ideal spot by the minster

We were in the attic room. People with any mobility problems would not be able to access this room. Stairs were very steep. Staff were very helpful with luggage etc but access cannot be improved. Food was very good as was the service. Location is excellent.

The Fat Badger is in a great location in the city center of York. We were able to walk anywhere in town. We were also able to walk to and from the train station, though that took about 15 minutes. We arrived before we could check-in, and they were kind enough to bring our bags up to our room. However, they couldn't keep them after check-out, so we had to pay to leave them at the coffee shop across the street, as our train didn't leave until a couple of hours after check-out. Not surprisingly, the room is small, but not unreasonably so for the location in a historic building. It was a relatively narrow set of stairs to get up to the room. The bathroom was down a little hallway and was a decent size, though the shower was a bit tight. We didn't eat here, but we did have time to enjoy drinks out in their "secret garden". We were lucky enough to get some sun so that we could enjoy some time out there, with a view of the very top of the cathedral.

Excellent location!

I stayed at The Fat Badger as a solo traveler, experiencing York for the first time. I’m so glad I chose this accommodation, not only for its cosy, relaxing atmosphere, but also its modern touches and ideal central location. There is such charm there that one can’t get from a hotel chain. I also found the staff very friendly and always ready to assist. I look forward to my next stay at The Fat Badger.

Staff were amazing.

The secret garden is a great addition, but can get very busy . If staying over get a room on a lower floor , we were on the top floor , 6 flights of creaky stairs . Breakfast was good .

The room was fine, and the breakfast good. It's well situated in the centre of the old city. The only issue for a 79 year old was our room was three floors up with no lift. The staff were very helpful carrying luggage for us.
