Lovely old building that is mainly used as a restaurant. No check in desk as such, meaning we had to wander around until we found a guy working there to check in. They seemed unfamiliar with receiving guests, having to ring a colleague to confirm that I had paid. Our hotel room was massive, but not super clean. The bathroom had some oddities such as the toilet lid being hindered from fully opening by the vanity unit, so if you sat on the loo the lid constantly fell forwards and rested against your back.
Staff that we did encounter were nice, the building is also quite impressive Georgian /victorian style with massive bedrooms, but overall I felt like the bedroom needed a bit of a refurbish and scrub up before I would book again.
