Very poorly presented place. Dripping and leaking shower, dust everywhere, dirty carpet and the whole place smelt of cooking. To top it off, they took money from my card when I’d already paid via Hotels.com. Not impressed at all.

Blood on pillow, No cup for a hot drink, they do not issue milk, tv remote didnt work, no shower gel, fob didnt let me back in the building so had to wake a resident up. Stayed here before under old owners and was an alright standard under new DO NOT BOTHER! Fighting for a refund but management ignore emails and the phone lines a joke.

Lovely old building that is mainly used as a restaurant. No check in desk as such, meaning we had to wander around until we found a guy working there to check in. They seemed unfamiliar with receiving guests, having to ring a colleague to confirm that I had paid. Our hotel room was massive, but not super clean. The bathroom had some oddities such as the toilet lid being hindered from fully opening by the vanity unit, so if you sat on the loo the lid constantly fell forwards and rested against your back. Staff that we did encounter were nice, the building is also quite impressive Georgian /victorian style with massive bedrooms, but overall I felt like the bedroom needed a bit of a refurbish and scrub up before I would book again.

Very nice place to stay Has free parking and the rooms are huge with a beautiful antique looking bathroom. Our only issue was the fob didn’t work and we had to disturb the lovely hotel staff (I’m very sorry) A complaint though, there were no towels in the room.

Excellent loaction, great size room, comfy bed and we were able to check in at 14.30....would definitely stay again....good value for money.

Nice bed, very quiet ( but no daily house keeping )

It was difficult to find someone to check in and unclear how I did this. I was fortunate the door was open to the restaurant so I could ask for help there. Room was okay but TV did not work. Again, it was very difficult to get hold of someone to try to sort this out. Eventually they changed rooms for me because they were unable to solve the problem. This room was not properly cleaned and I had to go and try to find someone (again with difficulty) to ask for toilet roll. Although the people I did have contact with tried to be helpful, it all felt rather chaotic and poorly organised. I wouldn't want to stay there again.

Good location for us. Parking was easy. Spacioys room.

The room was spotless, the staff were friendly and very informative. The bed was especially comfy, the area was quiet and the whole experience was just overall lovely - would recommend!

Clean and spacious room

Called the staff to store my bag before check in. Very responsive to the phone call. The room is ready and clean. Good for one night stay.

Whilst the bed linen was clean the carpet has many questionable stains. No cups or spoons in the room. Whilst having a coffee out of a glass seems very cosmopolitan, when the newest coffee is 2 months out of date it makes you wonder when the room was last cleaned properly.

Great hotel, perfectly located. Great stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room a good size and nice and quiet. I had a really lovely stay and have booked it up again already.
