外装の古さと違って、内装はとても洗練されていた。浴室の設備がよかった。 5人家族で14号室を予約したが、中で診察が15号室と16号室に分かれていて、とても使いやすかった。 部屋もとても綺麗。 何度も泊まりたいと思う。

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in anywhere. We have travelled in a lot of countries. Hotels have been generally excellent but at times they lacked atmosphere. The Stroud Hotel has buckets of atmosphere. Its decor is superb being based on a revived pattern of old bricks and reused wood planking alonside modern amenities. We stayed in the biggest bedroom we have ever had! The staff also help to endorse this atmosphere through their friendly but expert approach to guests at the hotel especially by the manager and his wife and those who manage the bar etc. The food is excellent. We only had breakfast because we were visiting family who fed us. However the breakfast had continental elements laid out eg croissants and other pastry treats. Cereals of all types, bread for toast etc., jams and yoghurts tea and coffee. On top of that we could have cooked breakfasts which we had a couple of times. So well cooked. The rooms were kept very clean. It was a very welcoming hotel with friendly helpful and efficient staff. The hotel is well placed in the town being next to the railway station and near the shops

Nice hotel next to the station. Very limited free parking. No air conditioning (fans in the rooms)

Rooms were great. Only issue windows won’t open fully and with no AC, room wasn’t very comfortable

Really clean room, the whole place as been done up really nicely, the bar area was nice to sit in and the bed was comfy. Staff were lovely and so helpful, one even helped me upstairs with the pushchair in the absence of a lift. No aircon but the fan provided was really good in the heatwave. Slightly noisy extractor fans outside my room so earplugs are a good idea!

Overall, very nice staff and service. The room itself was just okay. We were there during the heatwave and without air conditioning the indoor temp was brutal. The staff offered fans but the windows didn’t open all the way and there was very little fresh air coming in. Honestly, it was miserable. Not the hotel’s fault of course. They had great staff, excellent location, and good food, but I would recommend getting a different hotel during any kind of heat wave.

Excellent central pub accommodation right next to Stroud train station. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated with a great bathroom and excellent shower. Breakfast was outstanding and the bar downstairs had a lovely atmosphere and really good menu.

We've stayed here a few times and will be more than happy to go back. Staff really went out of their way to look after us.

Our bedroom overlooked a wedding which was v noisy. Sad.

Convenient for station but no noise from trains. Wonderful breakfast. Attentive staff.

Breakfast very good, bed just OK, stair access was a pain but that’s the lay of the land. Staff very good.

lovely clean hotel staff very professional and friendly room very clean one suggestion to make the stay more enjoyable would be to install secondary glazing to drown out the unavoidable noise from the pub next door which goes on until 1 am the only reason why not 5 stars

Friendly bar staff and check in but they didn't provide the extra pillows we requested. There can also be some noise from music events, surrounding properties and the (very) nearby station. Try not to get room 12 - the worst view we've ever suffered!

Overall it was a good stay good value would recommend it

Really lovely hotel in the heart of Stroud. Staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a deluxe room which was spacious and very clean. Food was delicious and there was a great choice at breakfast.

Very enthusiastic and welcoming staff throughout. Enjoyable bar and atmosphere. Excellent breakfast.

Friendly staff. Large room with free WiFi and bath. Lively bar / restaurant downstairs and without noise disturbance for us. Walkable to nice restaurant and Sub Rooms.
