It is a very clean room. Dinner, breakfast is very delicious. It is the third time. It is highly recommended for Japanese people who want to stay at a cute hotel in England. （とてもきれいなお部屋です。夕食も朝食もおいしいです。三度目の宿泊です。日本人の方でイギリスのかわいいお宿に宿泊したい方におススメです。）

Vi trivdes mycket bra här. Omgivningarna är fantastiska för dagsvandringar! Mycket vacker natur. Rummet hade ingen AC så det blev väldigt varmt. Det fanns dock en bordsfläkt. Det funkade bra för oss.

Staff were very pleasant, friendly and exceptionally helpful. The decor in the room was beautiful and it was very clean with plenty of tea making facilities including ‘proper’ mugs and a teapot with tea cosy which was a lovely extra. However the room was very, very small and it did not have any drawers or wardrobe to store clothes (there was a small rail in the corner with four hangers to hang a few items). The en-suite was also very small but it was supplied with lovely White Company toiletries. The cooked breakfast was beautiful and piping hot. There were also lots of other hot food options as well as cereals, yoghurts, breads. All in all a lovely place to stay, with fantastic staff and when I return I will ask for a larger room.

Six of us doing the Way of the Roses cycle route stayed a night at the Golden Lion. The rooms were large and comfortable, nice decor, excellent shower and toiletries. We had a delicious evening meal, and were impressed by the breakfast choices. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and accommodated our bikes overnight.

Great for dogs and their human companions. Lots of attention to detail here, like comfy bedrooms with luxury blankets and snacks/beverages. Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and welcoming. We loved it and our Golden Retriever was spoiled rotten.

Nice room & goodies for our dog. Accommodated gluten free allergy. Room was quiet. Good to have real milk in room for drinks, makes a big difference.
