We have stayed here on previous occasions and would definitely recommend. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Our room was immaculately clean and despite being above the bar area was very quiet. Excellent breakfast and varied evening menu. All cooked to perfection with a good choice for my husband who's gluten free. Plenty of valuable parking which is free

Breaking was served by a very pleasant young man. Very helpful. Food was not particularly hot. Evening meal was very good steak cooked perfectly. On paying the bill for our stay and meals this morning we noticed £8.41 added to the bill for service. I had that removed. I am usually happy to tip but do object to my bill having it added.

Staff were welcoming and the biscuits in the jar was a little gesture to the hungry soul. Breakfast had a reasonable selection and served with the customer in mind

We stayed two nights at The Red Lion. A wonderful authentic old Pub with a lot of atmosphere. The food was delicious and the staff was the friendliest people. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

My wife and I stayed here as we were attending a wedding at Rockbeare Manor and it's only 10-15 mins away. So glad we did.. the staff are all lovely, the pub is cosy, the accommodation fab and the food is amazing. Couldn't recommend this place enough, we only wished we'd stayed longer.

Charming, small inn. Next to very pretty church. Tasty and filling breakfast included. Looks newly redecorated. My room faced onto the car park, and had quite low ceilings… but my colleague’s room seemed to have lovely tall ceilings, and old beams. Pillows were a bit lumpy, and the room was quite chilly overnight.
