Good place to stay off Hadrian’s wall. Organizing a taxi here off the trail is recommended.

Lovely overnight stay. Very warm, friendly welcoming hosts.

For an overnight clean and well appointed room the experience was very good. Breakfast was also very well presented, comprehensive and offered a v good choice. Check in could have been a little sooner and breakfast offered from 0730.

Diane is a superb host of an amazing establishment! I would definitely stay at the Scotch Arms Mews again!

Scott Arms Mews is a great place to stay when walking Hadrians Wall. It ticks all the boxes - lovely host who greets you warmly and takes the time to say goodbye too. Packed lunches are provided if you want. Rooms are just like those in the photos.

The owner and her assistants are truly great hosts. The location is simply perfect to walk around the town and just a few blocks away from restaurants and pubs. The breakfast was very nice and hearty enough for the day’s walk. Somewhat close to Lanercost Abbey as the departure point towards the section of Hadrian’s Wall in Brampton

This was the perfect spot for our first stop along the way to Edinburgh. After a long drive from LHR, we arrived to a warm welcome in a cozy, restored inn. Absolutely lovely with a fire, a cozy room and a welcoming hostess who answered all of our questions. The inn is located within walking distance to shops and local eateries. I would definitely stay here again. Just lovely.

Great B&B and thoroughly recommended if walking or cycling the Hadrian’s Way. Rooms are modern and well appointed and the honesty bar is very relaxed and comfortable. Safe and secure cycle storage was a welcome addition. Will definitely be staying here again.

Our host could not have been more welcoming and accommodating- really made us feel at home which was great after a long drive. The room and facilities overall were excellent the only thing missing was a fan as it was a warm night even with the big window wide open. We slept well and this didn’t detract from a great stay.
