Staying at Sebastian and Penelope’s hotel was a wonderful experience. It is rare to find a place that gets the basics so right while still feeling full of history, warmth, and personality. This is not a flashy luxury hotel, and that is exactly its charm. It has real character, a distinctive atmosphere, and a sense of place that makes the stay feel memorable rather than generic. The attached restaurant is also excellent and adds a lot to the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone who values charm, comfort, and authenticity over polished sameness.

Penny and family couldn't be more kind and helpful. I arrived in a bit of a state as I had just had a minor accident with the rental car, whilst trying to park, and they were very gracious in helping me back to equilibrium. Sebastien, Penny's son, parked my car for me and helped me retrieve it at the end of my stay. Be aware that the roads in Banyalbufar are even more narrow than some of the other places on the island and the parking is exceptionally tight. I chose this hotel because I wanted a peaceful getaway with a big private tub. The room was exactly what I needed. The whirlpool jets weren't operational, but that didn't matter to me at all, as I prefer a simple soaking tub experience. The room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed, attractive decor, and the view was exceptional. I ate at the attached restaurant, and Fabio was very kind. The food was fresh and delicious. Bonus points for the dozen friendly cats that the owners care for and feed. They all looked sleek and happy, and I could tell they are well looked after. I highly recommend this lovely small hotel and restaurant and hope to return again.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt im Hotel Son Burgony. Das Frühstück war regional und lecker. Das Zimmer war landestypisch eingerichtet und sauber. Es hatte etwas zu sehr nach Chlor beim ersten Eintreten gerochen (wahrscheinlich auf die Bodenreinigung zurückzuführen). Die Gastgeberin Penny ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! PS: man sollte nicht den Versuch wagen und mit dem Auto bis zum Hotel zu fahren! Die Gasse ist so eng, dass wir fast “steckengeblieben” sind!

We had a great stay at Son Borguny, and Banyalbufar! This is a stunning destination and the family-run hotel fit into the town beautifully. We really appreciated how friendly everybody was, the recommendations we received for local sights and free areas to park nearby. The room was spacious, air conditioned, and the shower was warm with good pressure. The breakfast was also delicious (homemade breads, yogurt/granola, sweets, fruit, and your choice of eggs). The terrace is really beautiful, and the restaurant that does dinner there was excellent too (best of our trip!) We would highly recommend staying, enjoying the sunset somewhere, and having dinner in the restaurant!

Un accueil très sympathique, nous avions une chambre très grande avec vue sur la mer. Très propre et un restaurant au top. Très bonne cuisine locale, très agréable. Le petit déjeuner délicieux. Une très bonne adresse.

- The view from the room was wonderful, same as the picture shown on the site. - The room was spacious and very clean. - breakfast was delicious and the owner family was super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, definitely would recommend the place. P.S. We could have used additional curtain next to the stairs, as they were little bit exposed to the outside. Also, slippers would have been a nice addition, but nothing serious.
