Staff were very kind & ingratiating. Common area were beautiful; a feeling of colonial Asia. Breakfast delicious; would like to have had more variety of hot food (maybe change it up daily.) Room was clean & spacious. Garden & pool beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place bit small enough to be intimate and service is personal.

This is such a beautifully situated hotel on the edge and includes amazing parts of a beautiful old botanical garden. The staff were friendly and rooms kept clean and tidy, a very relaxing and tranquil stay.

Beautiful property with comfortable furnishings and lovely grounds with a fantastic pool and hot tub. Breakfast was good but it could have had a little more choice. We also ate dinner which was very good. The staff were polite and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

The breakfast had a good selection of local foods, with a four hour window of time to choose to eat. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from downtown, but more than made up for this with a good selection of daytime and evening meals to choose from.

Un sueño de hotel

The hotel is a lovely, well kept property. There is parking and it’s 1.5km to the city Centre. The staff are willing to assist at anytime, and are always pleasant. Our room was very comfortable and was spacious. Roberto was a great host.

Excellent stay! The hotel was delightful as were the staff. We enjoyed yoga in the mornings, a great hot tub and then in the evening, after an awesome dinner, we sat by the open air fire pit. Breakfast was plentiful and great as well. What a fantastic stay!

Das B&B hat im positiven Sinne überrascht. Herzlicher Empfang, grosszügiges und stilvolles Zimmer mit Annehmlichkeiten, welche es in manchem Luxushotel nicht gibt. Überschaubares, aber qualitativ hochstehendes Frühstück. Schöne Räume und ein traumhafter Garten - auch wenn bei uns das Wetter nicht mitspielte.

Wonderful property! Old home feel with elegant rooms

Alles in allem hatten wir einen super Aufenthalt im Solar dos cantos. Das alte Gebäude wurde mit sehr viel Liebe für Details zu einem Hotel umgebaut. Die Zimmer sind sauber und sehr ruhig. Die das einzige negative was mir einfiel wäre, dass die Frühstücksauswahl etwas begrenzt ist und vielfältiger sein könnte, gerade wenn ma wie wir über mehr als 1-2 Nächte bleibt. Manchmal lag zudem in unserem Zimmer auch ein seltsamer Geruch in der Luft, was aber nicht lange störte. Der Pool und Whirlpool ist super schön neu angelegt, könnte aber öfter gereinigt werden (zumindest einmal am Tag), Wir können das Hotel dennoch empfehlen! Es hat einen einzigartigen Charme.

This boutique hotel has beautiful grounds which includes a hilltop view, ancient trees, a pool and a 24-hour jacuzzi. The location is quiet, safe, and 15 min walk from a mall with a large selection of stores for emergency shopping. The classically decorated rooms were airy, spacious, and had very modern conveniences such as abundant plugs and USB charging ports, as well as a heated towel rack! The breakfast is very healthy, fresh, and delicious. One small imperfection was that when we booked, we requested via email for 2 separate beds since we were two friends and not a couple, which the hotel confirmed. It was unfortunate that even though we requested months in advance, we were told upon check-in they could not accommodate us because the hotel was fully occupied. However, upon further inquiry, the hotel switched us to a 2-single-bed room the next day and gave us a free bottle of wine and a meat&cheese board as compensation. While this was very satisfactory, I wish it was offered proactively instead of the guest having to request it. We were also not given a parking transponder upon check-in, and only got one when requested the next day. For guests that drive, a transponder is a must because the receptionist was sometimes away from the desk and could not open the parking gate right away when driving in and out. Lastly, I wish the jacuzzi temperature was hotter. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay during our time on the island. Staff was amazing, breakfast was perfect every morning. They even provided a birthday cake for me during our stay. The history of the house added to the charm. Room was lovely.

This was our first hotel on our Saõ Miguel trip and I can tell you that there aren’t many places like this! The whole property was very well maintained and room was stunning! The breakfast was one the best I’ve ever had with many local products and we just adored the whole colorful interior and the breathtaking garden. But what really made our stay unforgettable was Miriam and the whole staff who were the most friendliest and sweetest people ❤️ We will be back!

I’ve stayed here before and the staff and hotel is great. Nice breakfast and warm comfortable feel. Sitting rooms with fireplace as well as exterior sitting areas with fireplaces. Pool and jacuzzi as well. I would stay here again!
