The listing said that the kitchen only had an electric kettle, but it actually also had an induction cooktop, a frying pan, and other cooking utensils, so we were able to prepare some simple meals. However, since it was our first time staying in a cottage, we didn’t know that the hot water supply was limited. After my husband took about a 10 minute shower, it seemed that all the hot water had been used up, so I could only take a very cold shower. That was the only thing that was really disappointing.

It was a nice self-contained cabin with WC/shower, stovetop, small refrigerator, and bedroom. Had a great view to the green hillside opposite. Easy check-in/check-out. Bedroom needed to be about a foot wider/longer to get to both sides of the bed, but we made it work. Water pressure was a bit funky, pulsing at times, but again functional. Kitchen was adequately equipped to do your cooking. Overall good.

Just be aware the front cottages are very close to the Ring Road. The folks in the back cottages drive past your cottage. Back cottages look into your bedroom window. There is no place to put your luggage. The bed takes up the whole bedroom space. You have to either crawl over your partner or try to tiptoe around the end of the bed. Vik is not worth it. Go onto Glacier Lagoon area.

The cottage was clean and quiet. Great views from the front porch.

Very cute little cottage with everything you need to cook breakfast or a meal. Everything in Vik was expensive for accommodation including this place. By far our most expensive night. But the warm cozy feel and view from the living room/porch was lovely. Very spacious!

The cabin was nice inside, quiet, and private, although very small. Easy to get in and out.

Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet mit sehr bequemen Sesseln. Betten waren auch super und sehr gute Verdunklung. Küche war für den Preis leider sehr dürftig ausgestattet, es gab kaum Geschirr (zunächst nur 1 Tasse, auf Beschwerde wurde uns aber zügig eine zweite vorbei gebracht) und nicht mal eine Mikrowelle. Angenehme Größe des Cottage.

Close to the main town

Easy access to cottages from highway and just a 10min drive to Vik. Good central location for south coast destinations. Cottage was very clean and had basic items needed to prepare and eat meals in the kitchen.

When we arrived for 5pm check in the shades on our cabin windows had been left open all day, causing a greenhouse effect and making the whole cabin unbearably hot AND it smelled horribly of body odor. Bedroom window couldn’t be open because there were multiple large spiders and spiderwebs across the window. Mysterious red spill in the fridge that hadn’t been cleaned. There’s just really no justification for the price.

It’s a nice cottage in a beautiful location. Check-in and checkout was very easy. Very clean and modern with a nice kitchen.

Sehr dürftig ausgestattete Küche

Peaceful, serene cottage located 5 minutes outside of Vik downtown off the Ring Road. Minutes from Rynisfjiara Beach and Dryholaey Lighthouse. Single cottage with relaxing atmosphere.

Kitchen was very well equipped and made breakfast and dinner multiple times successfully!

My wife and I stayed in Paradise Cottages for couple of days. Its clean, warm, cosy and very comfortable. It has a well equipped kitchenette, roomy shower with good water pressure and a really comfy bed. The views from the cabin are fantastic and we spent our evenings drinking wine and admiring the views. The location of the cottage is very convenient as it's just a 10 min drive from Vik and very close to other sightseeing places. Overall we found Paradise Cottages a fantastic value for money and we would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

Leuk en gezellig huisje. Check in heel vlot. Alles was er wat je nodig hebt.

Leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Küche war schlecht ausgestattet & nicht sauber. Für eine Nacht war es in Ordnung, man hat eine sehr schöne Aussicht. Check-In & Check-Out lief reibungslos. Wir fanden es etwas zu teuer.

It was tight space- floor arrangement was not efficient. And there were not microwave!

Un beau logement dépaysant et bien équipé. Je recommande pour une nuit près de Vik. Toutefois, nous n’avons pas eu de chance car il y avait beaucoup de vent donc nous n’avons pas beaucoup dormi.
