This is a charming little pub in Salhouse not far from Salhouse Broads where you can have lovely walks through woodland down to the Broads. There is a great garden center only 5 minutes away where you can have a lovely breakfast or a couple of facilities where you can eat.

Excellent stay very comfortable

Great stay a the Stag - bar staff were excellent and the food was absolutely fantastic . Rooms were spacious and really really clean and comfortable with comfy beds and great bathrooms . Parking was really easy and the welcome was superb .

The room was clean, and comfortable and a good shower in the En-Suite. Lack of shelves to put anything. The way to the rooms was via where beer barrels were kept and the floor was quite sticky and a little smelly. The room itself and location was fine for the one night stay we had and a reasonable price.

Lovely room

Really great, absolutely spotless room. Lovely shower. As some of the other reviews suggest, it could do with some hooks for coats and bath towels, and maybe a shelf for toiletries in the shower.

Room was clean and comfortable, but, cold. Radiator did not seem to be working. A small electric fire was provided.

The only little complaint we had was the checking in process. We were told we’d get an email telling us how to check in which we never got. Also there seemed to be a difference between the info on hotels dot com and the places own website. But other than that, the room was lovely, well equipped, clean, comfortable. The bathroom was amazing and spotless. Would definitely recommend

First impressions were not good, as entrance to rooms was through a passage that smelt of urine, and had barrels of beer to side. Then up steep stairs to new pleasant corridor to rooms. Room was new, clean and pleasant, but lacked certain items i.e. hooks for coats etc. and places to put personal items - washbag, case, bags etc.

Totally surprised how nice the room was in the Stag. Room was immaculate, everything worked, cleaned and replenished with tea/coffee and biscuits, bed made and clean towels, Yes!!! Every day. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for us, if I wanted anything it was given and more without question. The location was great for getting into Wroxham and for driving elsewhere. Thank you for our lovely week to all the staff.

Steve (landlord) what a great and warm welcome. Couldn’t do enough for you. We stayed in the “oak” room and what a room. The “double”shower was absolutely amazing and so spacious Everything inside the room was well kept and clean !! The stag is a lovely country pub with a restaurant inside too and definitely did not disappoint!!! The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. A small menu which always a great sign as the food would be great and it definitely was !! The staff was quick and couldn’t do enough for you either.

It was very good. The room was very clean, spacious and well maintained. The parking situation was excellent as were the staff. No complaints at all and highly recommend.

Lovely friendly check in. Room had no hooks in bedroom or bathroom for towels. No mirror in bedroom. Sink was so small that water splashed everywhere. Windows wouldnt stay open and when wedged open then smell of cooking oil.

Lovely stay at the Stag, very good quality rooms, food first class and all served by friendly staff, highly recommend.

Vegetarian option not good. Very noisy room from outside up to 12 midnight. Bathroom was far to small.
