The Green Elephant is stunning. Conveniently located (if you have transport) for getting around Lilongwe but not directly in the middle. The staff are relaxed, friendly and professional and helped every day. They made me special vegetarian options on request, and let me help myself to other foods. The furnishings are top notch. There is lots of shared space around the place, and the only distractions are the noisy birds in the morning! Amazing hotel. If I could want for one thing, it would be some morning papers in the lounge.

An amazing place to stay! I there were 6 or 7 stars I would give it. Beautiful and cozy in every single details. It feels like you are staying in a friends house. Super recommend it.
