The shower was so small I could barely move. It was a difficult procedure getting in. Our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator, which made it difficult to bring all our luggage.

An amazing hotel in the heart of Maynooth! The room was clean and comfortable. The only problem was we had an attic room with sloping ceilings.

53 Luxury Rooms is a relatively new property that consistently gets hospitality basics right. Located in the economic center of Maynooth, it’s a great place to stay for people without a car. Although it’s physically above the restaurant Bistro 53, soundproofing ensures you’ll not hear much, if anything from below. The restaurant, by the way, is excellent, and well worth your custom. The property is reasonably safe, with an indoor hall and coded locks upon entry both to the front door and to each room. Codes are changed regularly and appropriately. If you like to sleep with open windows, be aware that noise from nearby pubs could occasionally bother you in the night. If you need a lift for mobility reasons, I didn’t see one during my stay. If you’re tall, you might prefer to avoid room 107, even if it costs a bit more for the other rooms. If you’re large or claustrophobic, the shower in that room is small. Cleaning was exemplary. The person who keeps the house most days was professional, accommodating, and kind. She even let me practice my Spanish with her. Overall, this is a solid property in a great location for those without a car. I’ll be back - unless too many people discover it!
