한국에서 예약을 해 짐이 크다는것을 알았을 것이고 약 한달 전에 예약했는데 방을 계단이 높은 2층에 배정해 허리 통증으로 인한 고생. 직원의 약간 도움이 있었지만 내릴때는 홀로 고생. 숙소배정배려가 부족 배부한 안내서에 조식제공이 있었는데 실제는 안함

주인아주머니가 매우 친절하시고 가격대비 만족도가 높습니다. 바로앞 마켓등이 있어 지리적으로도 편리합니다

지금부터의 이야기는 "캐슬 와이메아 컨트리 로지"와 hotels.com 모두에게 해당하는 이야기가 될 듯하다. 우리는 이번에 20여일의 여행을 하였고 그 중 11박을 hotels.com을 통하여 정했다. 이 숙소를 예약하며 hotels.com에 신용카드로 선지불한 것 까지는 다른 숙소의 경우와 같았다. 그런데 한참 여행 중 hotels.com으로부터 메일로 전해온 소식은 이러했다: 예매한 방을 제공할 수 없어 업그레이드된 다른 방을 제공하려 하니 어떠냐는 것이었다. 그러면서 제시한 방은 예매한 방보다 저렴한 방이었다. 그래서 제안이 적절치 않음을 지적하자 취소하거나 다른 숙소를 구하라는 거였다. 그런 와중에 해당 숙소의 예약을 확인하는 hotels.com의 메일이 왔다. 아마도 숙박일에 임박해서 자동으로 보내지는 메일인 듯 싶었다. 할 수 없이 우리가 여행중이므로 직접 통화할 수 있는 전화번호를 요청하였더니 얼마후에 도착한 메일은 아래와 같다: -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> 친애하는 고객님, 답장 주셔서 감사합니다. 저희가 다시 한 번 본래 예약 하신 호텔 Castle Waimea Country Lodge 에 연락을 취하였으며, 본래 예약하신 객실을 제공 요청을 다시 했었습니다. 호텔에서는 고객님께서 예약 하셨던 객실을 제공 해드릴 수 있음을 알려 왔으며, 이것으로 고객님께서 해당 호텔에 투숙 하셔도 문제가 없음을 알려 드립니다. 잠시나마 객실 투숙에 관련하여 걱정을 끼친점에 대해 진심으로 사과 드립니다. 부디 남은 여행기간에도 즐겁고 행복한 추억을 만드시길 바라겠습니다. 감사 합니다. 00000000 올림 Lodging Support Services ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 여기서 끝났으면 심란한 걱정끝에 해피엔딩이 될 것이었다. 정작 문제는 체크인하러 갔을 때 벌어졌다. 위 메일을 믿고 들어선 나에게 예매된 숙박일이 내일이라는 것이었다. 바우쳐를 보여주자 자기네에게 통지된 날짜가 잘 못됐다며 대신에 다른 숙소를 제공하겠단다..... 헐... 바로 다음에 가야만 하는 곳이 있어 일단 따를 수 밖에 없었고 결국은 다음 일정이 어설퍼졌다. 더 이상의 얘기는 여기서 멈추려 한다. 이 숙소를 이용하려면 미루어 참고하시라. (숙소에 대한 별점 매김은 숙박을 하지 않았으므로 평가 불가능하여 모두 3에 찍었음)

We stay here often. No frills, but the rooms are comfortable and staff is helpful and friendly. Just due to rural location, WiFi is weak in case you need to do business, not the best connection. Also, water pressure is slight again likely rural living. Otherwise, very comfortable.

Good location for restaurants and coffee shops. Banking was accessible and the hardware store, too. The property is quiet and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The overall stay was pleasant.

Lots of things nearby that are walkable. Was perfect for my family and I’s short stay.

Got off on the wrong foot when they said there was a $35 early check in fee. We were 20 minutes early. She ended up letting us in though. The room was very nice and quite large but the floor was dirty. TV was frustrating. We usually sit outside most of the time but nights were chilly. Town was a disappointment. We expected kind of quaint but its not at all. But grocery store was good and easy to walk to. I thought our room had a stove top but it didn’t. Kitchen was a little sparsely furnished. No hair dryer. Overall it was a nice place but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Super nice staff with clean accommodations. Walls were paper, thin and we were up much of the night because the people next-door were up late talking. However, we appreciated the flexibility of being moved the next day.

The staff were very helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to make a meal. Also, close to a coffee shop, grocery store and numerous restaurants. We enjoyed the stay. The only drawback was a rooster. But, Hawaii loves their chickens!

I enjoyed the stay. The room was very nice and the beds were super comfortable. Four people stayed in our room and had plenty of space. The room itself was beautiful, and the mountain view from our window was even better.

Good location

It was a very roomy, clean, quiet, and comfortable unit. The nicest room of the trip thus far.

The only downside was the road the lodge is on. It was very busy depending on what time of day you left or came back. It was a wonderful, peaceful stay in beautiful Waimea with lots in walking range!
