Very comfortable hotel, spacious and in a great walkable location to main sites. The hotel has a lot of information available and staff are really friendly and helpful with anything. I would most definitely stay there again.

We loved this hotel! It was clean and quiet and the hotel staff were very helpful. We felt very safe walking in the neighborhood in the evening. There were many restaurants close by as well as a pizza place, drug store and a grocery store. Despite having all these retail places, it maintained the vibe of a residential neighborhood. I would stay here again!

Les enfants ont adoré la chambre pokemon. Le personnel est attentif à nos besoin. La chambre et la salle de bain sont tres propres.
Nous avons manqué un peu de place pour ranger les valises sachant que la peluche pokemon prend beaucoup de place. Les transports en commun sont à 5 minutes à pied et les supermarché à 10 minutes à pied, ce qui peut etre loin quand il fait très chaud en été.

This hotel provided our family of four with a a great stay. The family apartment was reasonably priced and very large. The hotel is a 2minute walk from the main train station. There are buses that will take you to all the main sights leaving regularly from the station. There is a large shopping centre at the station and everything you need within walking distance of the hotel. Highly recommend this property for families.

Mimaru Shinmachi Sanjo was perfect for our family stay! The spacious rooms were ideal for families with kids (ours are between 6 and 9), and the setup made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond, helping with every request we had, which made our trip stress-free. Truly a wonderful experience for families visiting Kyoto. They even helped me find something on Amazon to ship to our next hotel as a surprise for our son. Great staff!

Good service staff. Just that we have to make the futon bed ourselves and regret not to ask them to change bedsheet on 3rd night as I got to make the futon bed all over again for just one more night. The best was the washing machine. Can wash and dry our clothes effectively without the need to extend the time for drying. Overall a good hotel for stay.

The staff were extremely helpful, storing luggage, arranging luggage transfers and offering use of their phone for a local call. Kids loved the bunk-beds and it was definitely handy having an in-room washer-dryer. The room was comfortable for a family of 4 but we were disappointed at there being no good views as the hotel is only a few stories high, in a quieter street. I had high expectations due to the Mimaru brand having great reviews especially for families, and while it ticked all the boxes there was nothing outstanding other than the great staff. To be picky - the shower was small, dark and minimalist, and the amenities weren’t great. Overall a clean, nice hotel.
