Stayed in a renovated room which was great. Spacious room and great shower and water pressure in the shower. Fantastic views of Jungfrau from the balcony. Loved seeing all the paragliders landing in the park across from the hotel. Excellent location close to Interlaken West train station. If I came back to Interlaken I would stay here again.

Hidden gem! It’s a standard 4 star hotel but the view of the Eiger & Jungfrau mountains is the best! I stayed at room number 113 (level 3) and 021(level 2) both have an amazing view of the mountains. But of course the higher the better. Spacious room and very practical. They recently refurbished almost 80% of the rooms so the pictures in hotels.com portal is the old one. The one I uploaded is their room after refurbishment. Worth every penny I spent! Will definitely come back again. Special shout to Melanie for her amazing customer service who managed our check-in and to the rest of Metropole Hotel staff. You guys have be very attentive!

This hotel is located at the centre of Interlaken and is walkable from the two stations. The ambience is great but the moment we step out of the hotel, it feels crowded with travellers. The view of the mountains from the window is great. However the hotel is not a 4 star hotel because of lack of amenties and conditon of the room a) No airconditioner as the rooms can become hot during day time b) the carpets were old and dirty c) the shower and the shower curtains were basic and need refurbishment or total replacement d) the safe was pretty old and i had to call the technician e) the lifts had to be operated with the keys and it was difficult as it didn't work properly always f) the entrance was small and hidden because of offices and shops g) the breakfast could have been better

Hotel location is central and convenient , 5 mins walk to the train station. Room amenities are disappointing and limited. Rooms : No air con, no coffee/tea facilities, no ironing facilities- have to go the 3rd floor for all these. It’s a dated property , not worth the money

We booked the Queen Deluxe rooms on the 7th to 14th floor. Our jaws literally dropped as we entered and saw the incredible view of the Jungfrau from our balcony. It was breathe taking. The room was very spacious, recently updated, modern, and clean. We found the beds to be comfy. There’s no AC here, but a tower fan was provided and we stayed comfortable with that and leaving the sliding door open to catch the mountain breeze. (Mid July) The balcony is completely private - enjoy the views of the distant mountains and the green space below. Location is central and the upper floors take advantage of being one of the only high rise buildings in Interlaken. Elevators require room keys to use which added extra safety for such a busy city. (Although we never felt unsafe anywhere in Interlaken). There’s a lounge with a tap for filling water bottles and a machine for coffee and tea. The desk staff were incredibly friendly. We stored our luggage prior to check in, they brought our bags up after check in, and at check out they gave us bottled waters. Honestly, my only negative experience here was that the coffee from the lounge machine was not good.

We have just returned from Switzerland after staying 2 nights at the hotel end of last week. Checkin and checkout were both very quick and efficient and the staff were wonderful especially at checkin. Maryam at reception was very helpful. We had arrived very early but wanted to leave our luggage and get on with our site seeing. She stored our luggage, checked us in and gave us maps and tips of what we could do in the area. We were on the 6th floor and our room had a balcony with great views of Jungfrau. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Really good shower. There’s a bus outside the hotel no 21 that can take you to the Interlaken ost if you don’t want to walk in the heat. I highly recommend this hotel and will certainly stay there again.

Hotel location is central and convenient , 5 mins walk to the train station. Room amenities are disappointing and limited. Rooms : No air con, no coffee/tea facilities, no ironing facilities- have to go the 3rd floor for all these. It’s a dated property , not worth the money

We booked the Queen Deluxe rooms on the 7th to 14th floor. Our jaws literally dropped as we entered and saw the incredible view of the Jungfrau from our balcony. It was breathe taking. The room was very spacious, recently updated, modern, and clean. We found the beds to be comfy. There’s no AC here, but a tower fan was provided and we stayed comfortable with that and leaving the sliding door open to catch the mountain breeze. (Mid July) The balcony is completely private - enjoy the views of the distant mountains and the green space below. Location is central and the upper floors take advantage of being one of the only high rise buildings in Interlaken. Elevators require room keys to use which added extra safety for such a busy city. (Although we never felt unsafe anywhere in Interlaken). There’s a lounge with a tap for filling water bottles and a machine for coffee and tea. The desk staff were incredibly friendly. We stored our luggage prior to check in, they brought our bags up after check in, and at check out they gave us bottled waters. Honestly, my only negative experience here was that the coffee from the lounge machine was not good.

We have just returned from Switzerland after staying 2 nights at the hotel end of last week. Checkin and checkout were both very quick and efficient and the staff were wonderful especially at checkin. Maryam at reception was very helpful. We had arrived very early but wanted to leave our luggage and get on with our site seeing. She stored our luggage, checked us in and gave us maps and tips of what we could do in the area. We were on the 6th floor and our room had a balcony with great views of Jungfrau. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Really good shower. There’s a bus outside the hotel no 21 that can take you to the Interlaken ost if you don’t want to walk in the heat. I highly recommend this hotel and will certainly stay there again.
